As Cities Skylines II still isn’t worth it (the sub has a regular thread about that, in summary: no it’s not: old.reddit.com/…/is_cities_skylines_ii_worth_it_m…) which games scratch your city building itch?
My SO played it for an hour. From watching it looks a bit clunky and sometimes you won’t pass holes on the first try, where you have to sneak through. But she likes it more than stray.
What kinds of games might you recommend with deep worldbuilding and interaction that aren't RPGs?
I like worldbuilding and stories, and I like when they're mixed with the interactivity of games, so RPGs seem like they should be a natural fit. Problem is, I dislike the stat-heavy, grindy progression of many RPGs.
I enjoy point & click adventures and visual novels but they're often more limited in their interactions. What kinds of game might I be missing combining the two?
By now, everyone in the world knows that American tipping culture is getting out of hand. That doesn’t mean you can’t introduce another way of “supporting” creators. Mike Ybarra, the former president of Blizzard, shared his desire to tip developers of especially enjoyable games....
Why not giving player 10 to 20 bucks for playing through a half-baked, unfinished, repetitive hell of a mess? If’ve no problems of devs beeing proud of their work butt at least be honest with yourself. Your game is shit when everybody says so. Work on it and make it better instead of defending it how it is. FML sorry for the rant…
When you’re in your destroyer looking at the missions on a planet, right bottom corner there is “effects”. It’s available befor choosing a mission and it’s planet wide.
Veeble | Webdock | Milesweb | Cloudfanatic | Time4vps | Hetzner | Vpsdime | Zap-hosting I’m looking for cheap VPS options. I’m trying to run Syncthing, a caldev server and maybe a searXng instance as well. Also what would be the catch with cheap VPS providers?
Just asking, is starting a new character now going to leave me annoyed and feeling like a little brother tagging along or is new character progression pretty forgiving?
tldr: jump in, there are some tryhards but lower difficulty is way more fun
While spreading democracy it’s more about the “how you spread it” more than “what you are using for it”. You can have all the freedom you can have and still fail to deliver it because of wrong timing and so on. I’m still using the SG-8 Punisher (first weapon to receive from page 1 of the first warbond) despite being level 30ish. Know your enemies and their lies und you will be able to spread democracy and freedom even further down their throats.
I played Diablo, Diablo 2, Diablo 3, and Diablo 4, all on their respective launch days. I really enjoyed the first two, and kinda hated the third one until they fixed all the bullshit. However, Diablo 4 was a piece of shit from day one. I enjoyed it for approximately 10.724 days. Rounding up. I’m absolutely done with Blizzard....
I’m done with D4 also, maybe will return to play with my spouse since it’s coming soon to gamepass on Xbox. If it’s not a big deal to moderate it, I would to suggest to keep the community open.
For friends and family try listen to their problems/annoyances. Usually people tend to complain until they fix it by themselves and if not, it’s your chance to shine.
If you want to contribute something to a hobby, ask first or gift cash. Most of the time the gift will be not needed or already surpassed with better/more expensive gear.

Is there any way to know if a mission is going to be one of the ones that restricts you to 3 stratagems before accepting it.
Because those missions can fuck off back the way they came they’re the worst.
