@evilcookies98 I also use a Pixel, it also sucks, and I have to support people using all manner of devices.

But you've already identified the problem. Android has too much choice - it might be a strength in some ways, but it's also a massive part of what makes it a pain in the backside.

@evilcookies98 I do like the fold itself. It's just the Android thing.

When you have to support them and not just every brand but variants within them all have different UI setups and features and apps available it's a pain in the neck.

That's what makes the iPhone thing far less annoying. Trading flexibility for predictability.

Hate Microsoft trying to shoehorn Copilot everywhere. Tried GBoard instead of SwiftKey. Hate it. Went back to SwiftKey and realised I can move the silly button off my icon list.

Problem averted for now.

Thoughts and prayers for the poor admin assistant who is going to have to do the GDPR walk of shame.

@Edent that’s the reason I insist on my bank sending paper statements. I’m regularly required to provide them and most people refuse a pdf … unless the PDF is a scan of a dead tree document.

    Does this (see image) mean I can definitely get Win11? The reason for my asking is that I thought my PC could not get it, because it did not have ... something? Some kind of hardware security thing? This was my vague understanding. But now I am being offered it. Is there a risk I'll download, install, upgrade, then be told "haha you're fucked, you can't run this" ?

    It's validating when a customer asks 'if you're disappearing' because they've noticed how much weight you've lost - because they weren't aware I was trying and thus won't have any bias.

    Proceeded to have a chat about it. Shared my tips with them. But If you also wanna know my secret to losing so much weight...

    The antiperspirant deodorant I've been using for the past "as long as I can remember" appears to have changed their ingredients. I started a new pack this evening and the moment I used it I knew something wasn't the same. Checked the ingredients, several dropped and several new ones.
    I don't like the slightly changed fragrance and I wonder if there will be any change in effectiveness.
    I wonder why they changed.
