Basically prices will still go up and the supermarket will get a wider profit margin to smooth things over so consumers will still get a brunt of the price increase.
So when someone is evasive to police we should just go to their house later? It’s called probable cause and you don’t know if the people in the car are dangerous. I’m not a great supporter of the police but the hot takes in this thread are disappointingly dumb.
So if you were pulling someone over for a valid reason and they fled, you would just be like oh well I guess they got away? interesting mental gymnastics going on here, why do people let their blind hatred of a group subvert common sense?
It’s not personal issues, it’s patriarchal issues. Just about every guy I know past a certain age, myself included, feel the burn from this. You are expected to just give give give and anytime you have needs, including some damn rest, you are looked down on for it and marginalized. You don’t see how much of a dog shit deal this is until you burn out.
I’ve been in tech my whole life, first in IT, now I’m a software developer and educated as an engineer. I have an IoT setup because it makes life easier, the security stuff also is a big time deterrent for would-be thieves. I know the stuff isn’t super secure in itself but I don’t get the paranoia, you tote your phone around everywhere, what do you think that’s doing? Also, they only use your data to try to sell you shit, it’s nothing nefarious and if it ever becomes so, it’s time to dump everything and live in the woods.
