@JohnBarentine I saw the same thing. Safety margin are narrow. Hopefully, the solar maximum will help, but any launch past the maximum will have a very long life time.
@YvanDutil For sure, the smallest debris particles will come down quickly. The population of debris from the November 2021 Russian ASAT test diminished quickly, but there are something like 1,000 trackable fragments still in orbit.
@YvanDutil yeah I heard of it and my brain immediately reacted negatively to the idea, but then I put it over until the little box in my brain where I put things that I probably need to understand more before I reject, but do not currently accept lol
After I look it over, it will probably make sense and I will tentatively accept lol
