I’ll never forgive her for Bush v. Gore. Literally destroyed the country. If she’d voted for the law, not for her party, there’d have been no Bush Administration, no was on terror, no Trump, no Dobbs. And we’re not done yet; there’s probably a Republican dictatorship in our near future.
The damage she did is incalculable. I’m glad she’s gone.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has beaten his Republican challenger. Beshear is a blue governor in a red state, and the race saw national politics as a primary issue.
Wow, Kentucky racists accidentally did something good for once. Everyone gets a much better governor for the next 4 years because a bunch of hicks couldn’t bring themselves to vote for a black man.
Exactly. He’ll never care until he goes to jail. Fining him is a farce. Especially since he’s on trial for fraud. If he pays the fine, it won’t be with his money.
Unfortunately for the Israelis, 0% of Benjamin Netanyahus think he should take responsibility for October 7. Public opinion doesn’t matter much when you’re spiraling towards a dictatorship.
And he’s the kind of person who’ll just keep stepping further over the line until the hammer finally comes down. Judges know this type, and they usually throw them in jail sooner because they know the violations will only get worse.
But I doubt this guy’s ever going to jail. He’s rich and famous, so…different rules.
This is like when the Queen was at a livestock show and they brought in some cows. She leaned toward Prince Phillip, pointed at the cows, and said, “Cows!” Why? Because there were cows, I guess.
Let’s hear it again for white privilege. Muslim kid visits the wrong website, Guantanamo Bay for life. MAGA storms the fucking Capitol building, “potential” terrorists.

Everyone should read Ian Kershaw’s two-volume biography of Hitler if you really want to be scared. The volumes are titled “Hubris” and “Nemesis.” Once you realize how goddamned ordinary Hitler was, you start seeing guys like him everywhere. As soon as the correct circumstances present themselves, we’re fucked.

Bit of context: The unit these officers were part of, 9th mobile, was created to terrorize people in the West End of Louisville, which has a majority African-American population. Its predecessor was called “VIPER.” It took years and several scandals before the cops realized “VIPER” was not a good name, and they needed to call it something less offensive. “9th mobile” is a less-offensive name, but it was the same racist shit that VIPER had been doing.
I don’t know why Jason Riley wrote this without mentioning the racial aspect, but he might have been assuming people from Louisville would understand. But for those of you not from Louisville: this is the context.
Third District voter assessment: “What happened? Well is she still racist? Can I keep using Jesus too hate the LGBTQ community? Will she still support my right to stockpile dozens of assault weapons for the day I finally snap and decide to go through with my mass-shooting plan? Does she still love our Lord and Savior President Donald Trump, Son of God, King of Kings? Yes? So what’s the problem supposed to be, again?”
Good attorneys won’t take him. Sure, he has money; but he’s notorious for not paying his attorneys. He’s screwed so many lawyers over the decades that nobody will work for him anymore because they know that, regardless of what he promises, they’re never getting any money. His lawyers have had to sue him on several occasions to get paid. So the only people who’ll work for him are these fascist bottom-feeders. And Trump probably prefers the quacks because instead of giving him good advice, they’ll tell him what he wants to hear.
