Punch nazis, trebuchet TERFs.

I am building Voyager, a client for lemmy!

aeharding,

Not currently. That would be a cool option though

aeharding,

A lot of these would be normal buffer zones or shoulders, but were painted with bike symbols to get multimodal dollars. Or to get the public off their back.

It’s pretty fucked

aeharding,

Damn I will really miss reading the lyrics of the two songs that have them

aeharding,

The other way is to login with username password empty

aeharding,

Stop in Madison

Stop in Madison

Stop in Madison

Stop in Madison

Stop in Madison

Stop in Madison

Stop in Madison

aeharding,

I’m not holding my breath

aeharding,

One time I tried a sample, liked it, price was good so bought it

AMA

aeharding,

If they want our loyalty, make fucking better cars

I mean, in the spirit of the post, make fucking cheaper cars

Cars have been getting expensive AF

aeharding,

Are you running outdated version of voyager? Because it looks fine to me

aeharding,

Hey, thanks! Unfortunately I think this depends on the Ionic Framework - since a lot of the view transition logic is internal to that. They might be open adding support for this though, if someone opens a feature request with them.

aeharding,

Sounds like a Lemmy bug, you should ask them!

aeharding, (edited )

Just because it can be done client side doesn’t mean it should be done client side. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ In this case, other APIs, like Reddit automatically filter your own posts and comments from upvoted and downvoted lists, because it doesn’t make sense to show that information. So in this case, I think it’s best to open an issue with Lemmy. Although I doubt it, if they don’t want to implement it on the backend, then it can be handled client side.

Edit: made github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4675

Soft crashes after scrolling too far

I’m quite regularly getting a soft crash after using the app for a while. I’m not sure if it’s related to number of posts opened, or just time, but eventually tapping on a post to either read the link or comments will cause the entire list of posts to be reloaded, as if I’d gone back to the all / subscribed / local...

aeharding,

The leaks are known issues with Stencil (framework used under the hood). So the good news is its known and tracked. The bad news is, there’s not much I can do other than wait on the Stencil team.

Here is the main issue (but there’s a few) if you want to track updates: github.com/ionic-team/stencil/issues/3607

aeharding,

No problem. And it should be something that’s happened since the beginning of Voyager, so if you notice it get notably worse after a release, let me know.

aeharding,

Yep, I should be able to peg 600mbps 24/7

aeharding,

User, yes already 😉

Community no, at least unless Lemmy makes community moving easier

aeharding,

I think it was taken but also I like vger.social better for the Star Trek reference, and it’s shorter and matches vger.app

aeharding,

Thanks!! 💜

aeharding,

If kbin releases API docs, a JS client on npm, and then dogfoods it like Lemmy does, I’d be happy to look into it. :)

(But even then, API differences would make this very hard to do well and probably not worth the effort.)

The reason Lemmy has such a great app ecosystem is the backend and front end are completely separate, with a published client layer for communication.

is there a legal way to consume alcohol bought at a store, outside of a home, hotel room, etc.?

I’m thinking in the U.S. and Canada. For example, if you’re on vacation, you’ve checked out of your hotel room and have several hours until your flight, and you have some cans of beer left over. I know you could sneakily drink them in a park or something, but I’m just curious if there’s any way to do it that’s legal.
