I found I wrote best when I forced myself to write 500 words a day, every day. Even if what I wrote was shit, it got the words down on the page.

Warcraft 3 probably. I played the demo at a friend's house and then saved up my pocket money to buy it. I would have been about 10 or 12 at the time. Absolutely loved the campaigns even though I sucked at them.

Still waiting for Warcraft 4.

Vampire Survivors. Run in circles killing enemies until you die. Buy upgrades. Repeat.

This is actually what reddit was like in the early days. It took some time for the major subs to become dominant.

there is... a lot going on here--and it's part of a broader trend which is probably not for the better and speaks to some deeper-seated issues we currently have in society. a choice moment from the article here on another influencer doing a similar thing earlier this year, and how that went:...

When I watched it, I really didn't understand just how prescient Her was going to be. Great movie, I should rewatch it.

[Archeology] The sword is so well preserved "that it almost still shines," German experts rave about the spectacular piece. (beehaw.org)

Archaeologists in Bavaria made a rare find last week: during excavations in the Swabian town of Nördlingen, experts discovered a bronze sword that is more than 3,000 years old, the State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments announced Wednesday. This is so well preserved, "that it almost still shines"....

A Link to the Past is too hard?

I don't know if this is the right community for this, so I am sorry if it shouldn't go here. I am currently playing through a link to the past for the first time and have noticed a steep increase in difficulty once I unlocked the dark world. The dark palace was okay but I am honestly kinda stuck at the swamp palace. I would love...

It is very much a thing in the new ones too, especially BotW and TotK

I feel like the COO of Embracer should focus on operating their studios instead of mismanaging them to the point where they're shutting them down and restructuring.

Cyberpunk wasn't even that bad to be honest, except on last gen consoles and the reviews said as much. (When the reviews came out the day before release day. Nice embargo from CDprojekt.)

I played on PC day one and never had any gamebreaking bugs, just a few hilarious NPC clipping incidents.

To be consistent, sit down and write something, anything, every single day.

Even on the days you don't want to. Hell, especially on the days you don't want to.

Do it for long enough and you'll have written your novel, screenplay or story.

It is already infested with covert ads posted as content, anyway.

Lightning Bolt, Counterspell, Swords to Plowshares, Cultivate, Dark Ritual

More immersive sim goodness.

Going the immersive sim direction with BotW was the best decision they made and the added flexibility of the new powers in TotK really showed how much they can push it.

I think if they add more interesting NPCs and social options it would bring it even further along, as the NPCs are currently the weakest point of the game.

This is kinda fixed in Tears of the Kingdom. The temples are back and more unique than the beasts in BotW.

I think the air temple (if you consider the approach to the temple to also be a part of it) also fits quite well, as does the Lightning Temple.

The water temple is weird in that it's in the middle of the sky and feels too similar to the air temple. Also the spirit temple isn't super themed.

You're absolutely right.

I built my own computer, been using PCs since I was two years old, I know how to use CLIs and I already run Plex. But Sonarr was such a fucking hassle to set it up that I got halfway through the set up and gave up.

Thanks for taking the time to read and comment! I'm glad I've intrigued you as to what's happening to Suko.

I also usually write in third-person past-tense, but I wanted to try something different for this story and decided on first-person present-tense.

If you're interested in reading a couple of chapters, I can PM you a preview. I'd love some more feedback on them.
