@cjk How does Bartender solve the behind the Nudge problem? If I’m not mistaken when expanding, some of the icons will still get lost behind the Nudge, aren’t they?
@cjk I am not sure I see what the screenshot points to. On my machine, when expanding Bartender, if there’s enough icons in the bar they will get lost behind the notch. Bartender doesn’t re-arrange them beyond the Notch or present them in a different way.
Is there a specific configuration you are using? Thank you
Anyone using a book tracker they enjoy? No goodreads. Preferably one-time payment app. I am a bit scared of subscription based app because I believe I'm at risk of losing my data for not being able/forgetting to pay. 🙌
@al3x I like Literal. https://literal.club/ Truth be told, tho, by now I’m happy with a long-ass "Media Diet 2023” note to keep track of movies, albums, TV shows and reading. One note per year, obvs. ;)
Works for me because this is personal information for my own personal use, I’m not looking to auto-publish anything about it. If I like something enough to talk about it, I can always write a blog post. YMMV.
@al3x i use onehalf which has a light and dark version, i made vim switch from one to the other depending on the value i set to background (and also made a few custom color adjustments on both versions, as one does).
@al3x Indeed. Very very tempting, but I’m sure it’ll make me a bit sad given the current state of Braun design. (I own, and like, a Braun beard trimmer, and while the engineering is still high quality, the design just doesn’t sing at all.)
@al3x fzf.vim’s UI is much simpler and can be configured to use a split (this used to be the default). Telescope only supports rendering as an overlay. I find its UI a huge pain in comparison to fzf.vim.
I read @gruber article about the new MacBook Pros. I'm not sure I got what he'll get. The reason I'm wondering about this is that I feel I have similar "requirements" and I would've appreciated his thoughts based on experiencing one of the machines first hand.
@gruber I guess what I'm wondering given you are looking for more RAM: going with the Pro CPU and get the 36GB RAM or go to the Max CPU which comes default with 36GB RAM? Thank you
@al3x I bought an M1 Max with 64GB of RAM back in 2021. (Actually I ordered it in early 2022.) So I’d go with a Max config again, personally, but if my budget were tighter, I’m quite sure I’d be happy with an M3 Pro with 36GB.
