It was for some local primary or something, I don’t know, 2020 was the last primary I’ll ever pay attention to. I’d been getting these texts all month and thought they were mostly automated by now, so in frustration I responded “For the love of god please shut the fuck up”....

You did nothing wrong, we are bombarded by these assholes on our own personal devices prior to giving consent. It’s possible they might be being paid for it at least too. Both the Democrats and Republicans text me. I also sometimes respond with something like “Fucking STOP!!!” I’m so annoyed with them, it’s a daily fucking thing. I don’t know why or how to make my number blacklisted everywhere by default.

It really makes me just want to disable sms on my phone, since there are only two stragglers or so that still use sms instead of Signal—ah, you know what, I just decided while writing this that I’ll disable sms. Fuck it. I’ll just check it periodically when I want or for stupid ass 2FA sms texts when I need for idiotic sites that don’t allow me to use Aegis.

If any comrades have any tips on how to universally remove your number from political lists, please let us know! I’m not even fucking registered to vote anymore.

I know what you mean, and putting up a sign may be a bit much, but wanting to keep ‘influencers’ or Instagram people out of places is understandable.

Maybe I’m neurotic and old about it but it just bothers me to see people in places of spectacular beauty and all that care about is getting a good picture of themselves to post online and then not appreciating at all where they are. Add a dozen of them or more and it quickly kills the experience for people there looking to be in the moment whereever they may be, and considering that this area appears to be in the San Francisco Bay Area I could especially believe that they would suffer from that there if a trend broke out.

Also, disabling geolocation tagging is just good praxis anyway. Everyone should do it.

I recently had to transfer phones and do this.

I don’t think there is a way to export a file as usual.

What I did was create a Firefox account using a fake/alias email through SimpleLogin just to backup the bookmarks. If you don’t have any privacy concerns then just using your usual email to create the account and logging in to Mull/Firefox that way should do the trick. Granted, I don’t really know how well that worked since I haven’t logged in to restore them, because I didn’t intend to, just wanted to save them. But I think that’s the only way on Mull. I hope someone else knows a way though.

Maybe I’ve unknowingly downloaded a bunch of viruses but I just tied qbitTorrent to my vpn and downloaded tons of movies from 1337x, torrentgalaxy, or ocassionally from PirateBay if I found a good one. I’ve been fine, but maybe I’m actually not. Who knows?
