The fork of Firefox, Floorp, is going closed-source. Because the lead dev was annoyed that some people were forking it. :blob_nervous:

@breadly and imho i see why it escalated like this
the guy is just a japanese student that made a browser when he was still a teen and over the years it suddenly became one of the biggest firefox forks ever
then literal companies like midori showed up, taking his work and packing it as “their new midori browser” without (afaik) any credit to the original developer, i would be pissed af too lol
and i don’t want to be the devil’s advocate or anything, but i feel like a big part to this entire thing is a language barrier with surapunoyousei not being good at english, which honestly can be seen the most through his reddit profile lol

Man, I do not like how Mastodon looks by default when you visit an instance you're logged out of

I don't know what they did, but the UI looks a lot more clinical and it feels a little less inviting than it was before with the more rounded corners and softer lines

You have more than 10 admins on a server, playing, animating, roleplaying.
And the only defense that the head of this organisation has to say is "I wasn’t the one in charge, I couldn’t know". I can understand that it’s true, but it’s really crazy to me that the question wasn’t even asked once
