So what is the hottest, latest, and greatest audio recording app these days? For doing things like recording audio and uploading them to say, here? Or does everybody just use the old Voice Memos thing.

Has anyone here managed to sign up with Discord, including getting an accessibility cookie to work? I've tried on both Windows and iOS now, gotten a cookie both times, and still can't bypass the fucking .

love when you get a replacement credit card because the old one is expiring. there is a new expiration date and cvv but those don't come in an accessible format. Now how to activate? Might try ocr things but if I get it wrong a couple of times, might get locked out.

@douglawlor yes, I still have one too but I have never found flat bed scanners read cards well. Also, this mastercard is flat. can sort of feel where the chip is but the numbers are not tactile.

Often times, tools like Trusted Tester certifications are not enough to prove how usable a product is until you truly put it in front of real users who can assess the validity of the software, services and platforms that companies are building. Please everyone, let's change the conversations when we are meeting with these companies. Are we buying into equal and equitable experiences with our purchases and how can we be assured of this? Transparency is crucial.

@JeffBishop yeah, submitting something to about what you can learn from a VPAT or ACR by what isn't in it. I know only 6 people in the world will care but going to give it a shot anyway. they didn't kick me out at CSUN so let's do one on my own now

@sbourne @JeffBishop that is how this started with a training I did for our vendor managers so they could ask some of the right questions without coming to the accessibility team all the time. Once I did it, I figured I could expand it abit.

I’m really excited to give these RayBan Meta smart glasses a whirl, especially with this new A I and to be able to ask questions lie “do they have spaghetti and meatballs on the menu”. Or when I’m walking with my cane “what building am I near?” I understand that. They might be available at Bestbuy here and they even have an installment plan of 34 something plus taxes and admin othee. Think I’l be checking them out in the next few weeks, but I’d be anxious to hear from any totally blind folks who have gotten em and what their conclusions are.

Today's is the loudest clap of thunder I think I've ever recorded, and maybe even heard for that matter. The storm went on for hours, and I haven't listened since I made the recording, but this loud gem is right near the beginning.

wow, my old 2016 sound professionals bynaural mics are very hot on this recorder. the file is really quiet though.
