The notes section at the back of a books is and will forever be my favorite section. It's where you get to hang out with the author after the reading and gossip. // Back when I was at Naropa for grad school (in writing), my friends and I would sneak into the dinner parties hosted for visiting artists/writers. Usually wild-eyed radicals of some sort who not infrequently wanted you to drive them around to find drugs. :) Those are the moments you learn about their ideas. What they really think.

So the coffle (coffee waffle) turned out to be quite unappealing visually and the coffee tasted burnt. More experimentation required.

Maybe I need to write to James Hoffmann.

@apolaine @leah @nicole I'm still trying to understand this whole "I don't put syrup on my waffles" business. Otherwise, I'm wondering if coffee can be added later somehow. Still during the cooking phase, but late enough so it won't catch (and taste burnt). If these were pancakes , I'd say drizzle into the pancake right before the flip. But with a waffle imprisoned into a waffle iron.... 🤔
