@ko yea, that's my point. Environmentalism is about us. Making sure that the planet remin habitable for us. Not for the planet. Now, all of a sudden I am a right wing propagandist?
@cloudedjudge and thats basically what I was saying. 'Saving the planet," is not about the Earth's ability to survive, but about preserving the delicate balance of life that we, and countless other species, rely upon. And that's what environmentalism is about.

I just did say that in my previous toot--that environmentalism is about maintaining the balance of the planet which makes it habitable for humans and other species alike. I don't understand what his definition of planet is, but I stick to my point and only my point that the planet doesn't need humans.
One thing most people do not understand about environmentalism is that it was never about saving the planet. The planet doesn't need us. Hell it will even thrive without us. Environmentalism is to save ourselves from extinction. Don't think that the planet owes us shit.

@Threadbane even if all humans disappeared tomorrow, it will still take thousands of years for the planet to go back to its pre industrial levels. As scientists have noted, we are beyond the tipping point that even if we stopped emitting greenhouse gases tomorrow, we still would be facing the same problem
