This should be illegal, companies should be forced to open-source games (or at least provide the code to people who bought it) if they decide to discontinue it, so people can preserve it on their own....
Early 2010s Reddit was so addicting, if there was something in the world it was on the front page in 15 minutes. I remember being excited to check on Reddit after waking up to see that was the event of the day.
After 2016 the algo was screwed up and it became a cesspool of reposts and news were late to show up.
It’s annoying having to create logins on multiple instances. I always forget passwords and have to remember which servers i have accounts.
For example i had an account on one of the “lemmy. something” instance, but they defederated from shit.justworks so i created an account there. I changed phone and i relogged in from shitjjustworks but forgot what was my other login. And now do i have to create a new one to access the piracy one?
I wish there was one Lenny instance i could create an access and have access to the entirety of lemmy, without having to bother

Awards? Never saw those on my 2015 version of baconreader app. Couldn’t care less.
Unfortunately i think steam removed support for team fortress 2 on Linux a long time ago. I didn’t stay long on Linux. I mean i use headless ubuntu and debian for a bunch of projects but not on my desktop.
When spez doubled down and Reddit imploded i moved to lemmy. I also discovered mastodon. But then i realized the reason i used twitter was to follow certain people/accounts none of which are on mastodon.
We had a reason to ditch Reddit, because they forced everyone off our beloved third party apps. But twitter didn’t have this kind of meltdown. Im only a consumer on Twitter, and its still working fine. No reason to quit. The rate limit is dumb but it isn’t the end of the world.
looks like rendering adblockers extensions obsolete with manifest-v3 was not enough so now they try to implement DRM into the browser giving the ability to any website to refuse traffic to you if you don’t run a complaint browser ( cough…firefox )...
