Is this for real? Every year they find a way to enshitify the platform. I use youtube mostly in browser and read comments all of the times.

At this point I won’t be surprised if they add DRM on the whole site.

What's a good phone now that doesn't force ads on me?

I’m using a Pixel 6 Pro right now, and I’m looking around to see if there are any good phones. However, I have heard that there are ads in the newer flagship phones (Samsung, Xiaomi). I am willing to spend around USD$750 on a new phone, but I just don’t want any crazy ads or preinstalled apps like Facebook. Are there...

Their ads are mostly self promotion and bloatware apps. In my device I had to turn off notifications for most of the pre installed apps.

As far as I know Motorola and Pixel are the only OEMs with no ads or bloatware. For samsung you need to debloat and turn off notifications.

Yes, search results are terrible these days. I switched to DDG and Bing

It is several times smaller and significantly cheaper than the traditional radio frequency tags that are used to verify product authenticity. The tags use glue containing microscopic metal particles. This glue forms unique patterns that...

Yeah they should put the binaries under release. But I think they didn’t found a way to automate release with KMM.

Same I think Heliboard is the perfect replacement for gboard and Samsung keyboard.

There is a self hosted alternative for google photos if you have NAS. I don’t remember the name and it’s not nextcloud but that project have web and mobile apps to sync and they catalog photos with face and name similar to google. If you are specifically looking for storing and syncing photos mega.nz is decent but pricey alternatively pClound offers one time purchase during holiday season which is much more affordable.

Yeah, thanks for reminding the name.

There is no option for deletion for this app. Its draining my battery, and I read various posts they said that this app spy location and do lot of other stuff. I’m really confused after noticing it and reading such stuff. What should I do, I tried to disable it but it again activates when I restart phone?
