As per the website there are around 900 active users servers on lemmyI recently joined the fediverse both lemmy and mastodon and tbh lemmy is more active. Mastodon is just an echo chamber only bots are reposting from reddit and twitter.
I’m using a Pixel 6 Pro right now, and I’m looking around to see if there are any good phones. However, I have heard that there are ads in the newer flagship phones (Samsung, Xiaomi). I am willing to spend around USD$750 on a new phone, but I just don’t want any crazy ads or preinstalled apps like Facebook. Are there...
Found this one online while browsing for what cats shouldn’t eat. However I feel like this area is quite controversial and opinionated. Also feels like half the websites are written by AI and riddled with ads. So if anyone has a good source as to what cats should avoid then let me know....
Exactly my thoughts. Back in the day when I joined the Instagram in the first month of launch there were only professional photographers posting some great stuff, it was fun until celebs and general public started using it.
Telegram got its popularity because of piracy and having your chats on cloud. It was never intended to give privacy to user but due to WhatsApp breaches they started promoting telegram as a secured chat app which is a toatal joke till this day.

and
“O Earth! swallow up your water, and O Sky! withhold your rain! and the water abated and the matter was ended. The Ark rested on Mount Judi.” — Holy Qur’an, 11:44
I really don’t understand where they are going with Mozilla’s new leadership.
Don’t they already show ads in pinned sites area. Since I am not a regular donor I click on the affiliate amazon link if I am purchasing something to support them. Now I feel like they are taking wrong signal due to this. More advertising enabled by default will make even harder to recommend firefox to new users.
If you’ve newish hardware then fedora workstation is a good option. It was my daily driver for almost a year. Another one is Zorin OS based on Ubuntu. Zorin ships most of the driver out of the box and I recommend it if you’re shifting from Windows.
I do cap speeds in my transmission server since I mostly use it for large size torrents and forget to pause until I open the web interface again. Once I ended up seeding 30x.
Hi thank your for the update. I want to report an issue which I believe is related to launch modes or navigation stack. Many times I noticed the the app have same screen with multiple instances in backstack so I need to press back button 2 or 3 times to actually go back to front-page.
google gboard was able to autocorrect both o my languages without me needing to switch the language. wondering if there's a keyboard that's open source and can do the same. on open board rn
As said use docker but if you directly want to run a DNS and VPN servers then my recommadtion is Adguard Home instead of PiHole since it is rootless and doesn’t modify system And for VPN go with PiVPN script and setup wireguard. Once installed both handle automatic updates without running a single command.
WSA never received much traction from the beginning. The main reason I can think behind this might be the fact that android is always changing and it is hard to maintain. In linux we get LTS releases but with android there is no such thing.
Happy 10 million! According to FediDB, we have hit 10 million users across the Fediverse! (lemmy.world)
