My update just got approved without including a privacy manifest. I thought that was required now? I was expecting to get an email telling me which API’s my app was using that I needed to declare reasons for.

I think accessibilityRepresentation is my very favorite SwiftUI API. It's really like magic. Now I can do all the weird visual stuff I want to do, and it's trivial to make it maintain accessibility. Highly recommend!

@StewartLynch also I KNEW Camtasia Studio sounded familiar. I used it years ago to make a recording of my first intern project, a Windows Vista Gadget using my company's new SOAP API (both things that clearly stood the test of time 😅) Sadly, the video requires flash to play. https://support.bigfix.com/bes/misc/besmonitorgadget.html

I also got blocked by Google when I tried to add Google ads to my app! I have no idea why, and when I appealed they upheld their decision. It was so weird.

@daniel @lisa I never bothered really pushing on getting it resolved because my current apps are subscription based, but I do worry that someday I'm going to have an app that makes sense to be ad-supported and I'll still be blacklisted.

I was really worried about doing Indie App Santa with Nihongo Lessons, since the in-app purchases are so expensive ($119.99 to $299.99). I’m still braced for a bunch of people who are into free stuff downloading it and then seeing the prices and calling the whole thing a scam.

Haven't seen the app store reviews I'll get yet, so🤞🏻, but so far I feel so lucky to have gotten a really positive response!

I have a great Swift Technique that I want to share and I want to create a YouTube tutorial and blog about it. However, I would also like to submit it as a potential conference talk. Would it hurt my chances if I published the video before any conference I might get accepted for?

@StewartLynch I have had a talk rejected and when I asked why, they said it was because there was a video online (of me giving that talk at an online meetup) and so they felt like people would just watch it ahead of time and not attend the talk.

Of course, I have also relayed this story to others who say that that's nonsense, and that it's really standard to do a single talk at 3+ conferences even if there's a recording. And did have the same talk accepted elsewhere.
