reading online discussions about git is always really funny because 50% of the people are like "i don't understand git" and the other 50% say “no you just have to understand git is a directed acyclic graph where branches are pointers to commits" and nobody learns anything
(the discussions we've been having on here have been going MUCH better than this and I'm very grateful for that)
I’ve mostly automated the process of creating Stripe products for each domain, generating the email template, and publishing a message to a Discord channel each morning for my Featured Domains email newsletter.
I wish we lived in a world where we didn't have to hear about the AI boys and their new ventures all the time. Every use of AI that is supposed to save us time always seems to produce subpar results. Generative UI? Not accessible. Auto generate alt text? Missing context. AI code? Who knows if its useful. AI generated extras for movies? People with hands growing out of their foreheads. Like, when are we going to stop rewarding these people.
@hbuchel The people with views like this are the ones that are going to be left behind when ai comes for every job. More people need to invest in themselves and work TOWARDS ditching the 9-5 job because while working for "the man”, you are merely just a number.
@hbuchel Yeah, ai might be giving subpar results now, but that doesn't mean it will be in the future. The difference between GPT-3 and GPT-4 is a huge improvement already. Just wait until GPT-10 comes out.
As far as how it relates to a 9-5. When it (ai) does eventually replace more than 50% of the jobs held by the common man, those people will need something to fall back on, so they should be working towards building their own future now before its too late.
I wish the domain investor community would move en masse to Mastodon, but I really don't think they are close to a breakthrough. A lot of that crowd is antiquated Gen X and Boomers. They are basically still on the bird site, Clubhouse, and traditional forums exclusively.
These are priced at just $49 for the next 24 hours after which they will be priced at 5x the discounted price.

Today I'm trying something new. From this point on, the domains will be loosely based around a theme of the day that I select. Today's theme is clearly “polls”.
Does anyone else have the problem of macOS re-opening everything you had open, but clumping them all together in a single Space instead of restoring where they were BEFORE a system restart? INSANITY!
