While joking with my 12yo I came up with a recipe for giving people funny hip-hop names. It's "Li'l" followed by a diminutive version of your first name, followed by your last initial. So I'm "Li'l Danny J", my 12yo is "Li'l Matty J", etc. It makes our mundane greetings so much more fun.

Any Mac developers ever get frustrated that you can't embed the WebKit Web Inspector in the same window as your WKWebView if you're using Auto Layout? I submitted a fix! https://github.com/WebKit/WebKit/pull/27105

@nighthawk Call this in your app to enable "Inspect Element" and the rest "just works" (like in Safari):

webView.configuration.preferences.setValue(true, forKey: "developerExtrasEnabled")

I mean it "just works" (for now) as long as the WKWebView isn't laid out with constraints :)

I kinda want to let people who looked at the Sun today without proper protection thinking it was in totality when they were not in the zone of totality that they were wrong... but it doesn't matter because they can't read now.

Excited to head to my first ever ACPT (https://www.crosswordtournament.com) tomorrow! My son, who is obsessed with speedcubing competition, insists this means I "Made it to Nationals." I tell him I just paid the registration fee, but he prefers the "Made it to Nationals" spin.

As discussed on the latest Core Intuition (https://coreint.org/2024/04/episode-594-dreams-and-hopes/), my big hope for Apple's "Absolutely Incredible" WWDC is they lean hard into local, "smaller large language models." It's their wheelhouse. Imagine a Spotlight that could reflect the contents of your Mac as if it were all ChatGPT cared about.

I was excited about the prospect of revisiting Apple's Infinite Loop campus, where I spent about 7 years of my professional life. They're having a welcome reception there for badge pickup!
