I used to get it why people install chrome. It had a specific look and feel. It’s no more, all browsers (except some startups making up the rules) look the same. Its a full page window with tabs on the top. Vanilla FF looks the same.
At some point we had to throw away all our plastic containers as it become insane to match them. We bought one kind only. Tr8ed to go for the perfect one size for all in good quality. No more issues ever since. Same with socks. We bough one kind black and one kind white. No more matching. I recommend it for everyone.
Nowadays I find a lot of games feel like too much work and/or anxiety when I just want to relax for like, 30 minutes to an hour after a long day. On the other hand, the games specifically designed to help you unwind just feel boring imo....

Needle is a generic singer 75, the bobbin has polyester thread below. Tried it with different fabrics, same result. Somehow the thread is not grabbed when the needle goes down.
Google’s approach of just monitoring your behaviour in the browser is still the most humane and it pisses me off that you literally have to serve all your data to them so they can even decide to serve you with their ads.
As title says. Obviously I could setup different virtual machines or spend the time and install all the DEs in one VM if it is even possible without breaking the OS. I’m wondering if there is an already made iso or something that installs all the maintained DEs for trying.
I’m in and out with linux for the last few years. It really boils down what do you want to do on your PC. If you are into online gaming or you need some specialized software for your work you are pretty much better stay on windows. However for general use its awsome. I have replaced many of my software even on windows to foss tools. There is a small learning curve and you will certainly need the terminal in the beginning but overall not terrible. For me it was a pleasant experience seeing mostly everything works without effort. The two most popular desktops (KDE and Gnome) are fairly polished and you question a lot of things in windows after using them. In general using linux a bit gives you a new perspective on how to use a PC.

This is only true for webservers. If you check all the servers in the world windows server is leading. There are industries that work with windows mostly like factories, banking, any office business in the world.

Any product fabrication is so much more than the actual product. For a weapon you need steel, machinery, oil etc. Technically the petrol station near the factory also profits from the weapon factory. Where do you draw the line who can profit from it? Until it is legal to produce any weapon someone somewhere in the chain will profit from it. In a capitalist setting this cannot just vanish.
After getting a comment from the creator of kanata (an awesome piece of software by the way) that he found my story amusing, I figured that I’d also post it here, partly as fun, partly as a cautionary tale. Also, I’d appreciate any tips as to what to check for in my system, it’s a weird feeling to know that some stuff...
He did say his keystrokes were playback in a few seconds. No way you realize what is happening and yank the cable this fast. This is the type of situation where people sit and watch the chaos unfold
