@ross I'm getting a PHEV next week (not full, EV I appreciate but does 50 miles on battery, and I intend to use that as much as possible). Any advice you can share to get the best out of it would be appreciated.
One area I struggle with is understanding when public chargers are cheaper than using petrol, as comparing the 2 is tricky.

@ross I know it has a CCS, yes. That much I know. But, yes, will be charging at home. It's just that "is it worth charging when away from home vs using petrol" decision. The commercial chargers are pretty pricey and, at first glance, it almost seems cheaper to use petrol. But I suspect I'm getting my sums wrong.

@dartiss Hmm... I'm surprised you have CCS but only get 7kw charging. That seems odd.

In my experience the most expensive chargers are the equivalent of petrol. So worst case scenario is your no worse off.

BUuuuutt, there's so many variables. Petrol price, electric price, EV efficiency. To be honest, I’d try not to think about it too much. Charge when you can. Use petrol when you can’t.

The definitive guide to the WordPress.org plugin assets folder

If you've ever added a plugin to the WordPress.org directory, you'll find there's a folder named assets waiting for you in SVN. In this article, I'm going to explore what you can add to this, and the various limitations and formats available to you.

When WordPress plugin adoption goes wrong.

The bizarre tale of a developer who took on a plugin and then just walked away from it when asked to do the most basic thing.

@dartiss Hmm, I use them most weeks but actually don't hit most of those issues; there are plenty of other things that bug me. Like the advert that blinks every time I click on an item on the +/- on the coun. Also the favourite system doesn't understand equivalences; e.g. if I add a pack of 12 eggs one week, the next week I add a pack of 6, and it tells me I've missed my favourite pack of 12 eggs. The search is laughably terrible.

Google is having to pay out $5 billions for tracking users whilst in Incognito mode.

Add that to the many reasons why I don't use Chrome as my browser.

Random question for developers. What do you use for editing README files?

My code editor is great for everything code related but it feels sub-optimal for these file types.
