Reading the PFAS bombshell from ProPublica. I know this has nothing to do with nuclear power generation but this is exactly the story of workplace violence found in nuclear power plants like GE's. This is also why I am anti-nuclear power plants.

". They told Hodge only part of what they knew: that PFOS had sickened and even killed laboratory animals and had caused liver abnormalities in factory workers."

Biden fist bumped the King of this land:

"A new filing in a lawsuit brought by the families of 9/11 victims against the government of Saudi Arabia alleges that al-Qaeda had significant, indeed decisive, state support for its attacks. Officials of the Saudi government, the plaintiffs’ attorneys contend, formed and operated a network inside the United States that provided crucial assistance to the first cohort of 9/11 hijackers to enter the country."

Interestingly reading about China's EV "innovations" it feels as though they are trapped in the mindset of pleasing the white people – big full OLED screens, fancy interiors that Cheeto would love instead of doing stuff that would actually be useful to the consumers.

Also thought of this given how Buicks were apparently popular in China

"More French police arrive in New Caledonia amid riots
French High Commissioner Louis Le Franc said reinforcements had been deployed to "regain control of all the areas of the urban area that we have lost".

The unrest erupted this week after lawmakers in Paris backed and approved changes to voting rolls that the indigenous population say will dilute their political influence."

Cost of housing pandas in SF Zoo:

'The project comes with an estimated price tag of up to $25 million for housing alone, including the $3 million to $5 million needed to construct a temporary home for the bears while a permanent enclosure is built.'

Why??

Imagine being a billionaire and then using your influence to change the law so people dont see how polluting you are. Some folks think Billionaires are harmless but in fact they are the most harmful people on earth.

This whole school board thing is exactly playing out in SF too. Suddenly SF school district has no money? My hypothesis is this is a ploy by the billionaire class to undermine public education which they believe is the reason people are hating on them.

All of those who recalled the school board and did some fake nonsense about algebra are suspect in my mind.

Timeline of events leading up to the killing of thousands of tamils in Sri Lanka this month in 2009 by the Sri Lankan army (and some Indian Peace Keeping Forces). Eerie to read about it right in the middle of another genocide occurring right now.

"The lapse raises questions about communication between the DTSC and the water board — two sister agencies under the umbrella of the California EPA — whose cooperation is vital to protect public health and the environment.
“The fact that DTSC has sat on these documents for 44 years — shameful doesn’t begin to describe it,” said Janet Johnson, co-chair of the Richmond Shoreline Alliance."

No shit. California's department of Toxic substances control has known radioactive waste has been strewn around popular parks like Albany Bulb but has said nothing for the last FOUR decades.

The water board is the one who is making it more expensive for every average user to use water while literally doing nothing about high water use farmers & ranchers who use water for almost free of cost.

In 2015, Kaibab band of Paiute Indians became the first Dark-sky nation

https://darksky.org/news/the-worlds-first-ida-dark-sky-nation/

"The Kaibab Paiute believe they have a special responsibility to protect and manage their lands, and have come to recognize the value of the dark skies over their lands. They consider their dark skies a threatened resource worthy of conservation and protection. Thunder Mountain is a landform that dominates the reservation landscape. The new Dark Sky Community will be officially known as Thunder Mountain Pootsee Nightsky, recognizing the status of the Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians as a sovereign nation. This designation also recognizes the importance of Thunder Mountain and the night sky in Kaibab Paiute culture as well as the unique language spoken by Southern Paiutes, who speak a Uto-Aztecan native language in addition to English."
