If teachers could brainwash kids to the point of changing their sexual orientation, wouldn’t all schoolchildren become well-read, polite and clean well before they turn trans or gay?
The opuntia is a decent size, but the rest aren’t huge, yeah. I tend to buy smaller cacti, since I enjoy watching them grow (and they’re way cheaper when they’re small too ;))

Do shareholders mix with anything? Fucking up the environment? Makes shareholders happy. Mass layoffs? Makes shareholders happy. War, cancer sticks, genocide, addictive drugs? As long as the line goes up shareholders are happy…
It used to look, well, black, but now I’m seeing this, which is a bit hard to read… Did the theme change recently? I’d love to goback to my white-on-black look if possible…
To jail, for the rest of his life, yes. Not that I’m holding my breath for it though - the international community has demonstrated time and again that genocide is compmetely fine, as long as it’s happening far away and not to “our people”.
I got it on Game Pass and wanted to give it a try, but when I sat down on the couch, controller in hand, and tried to run it, it asked me to take my phone out and scan a code to create yet another worthless account somewhere. It wouldn’t allow me to even start the game otherwise.
It made me actually say “are you fucking kidding me!?” out loud and uninstall immediately. Screw that - I will not eat at a restaurant that makes me scan a code to see the menu, and I will definitely not play a game that does it either…
Rant over, but that experience annoyed me so much that no update or improvement will make me want to install it again.
Yup! “ryuzinboku” (龍神木) is the Japanese name for Myrtillocactus, and “fukuro” is “bag”, so in Japanese it’s basically “baggy cactus” - I much prefer the English name :)
Same! It was actually a pretty big surprise that Mint worked flawlessly out of the box on my crappy pre-built PC. Everything’s working great including the printer! I’m seriously impressed.

At some point in the future there will be a movement to completely drop all computer technology for privacy reasons
Privacy services are sometimes hard to learn so people will just decide to go back to the old days. I imagine that it will be easier in a group.
