Is that true? I don't think that's true! Color Level 4 has a lot of math in it to map colors to displays’ spaces consistently, no matter how out-of-your-gamut they are. https://codepen.io/eeeps/pen/qBJvMxE
@chriscoyier Yeah it's one of those "no perfect answer" problems, I think. https://www.w3.org/TR/css-color-4/#gamut-mapping specifies what happens, and seems really smart and thoughtful, although I only have a (very) surface level understanding of it

@mia@chriscoyier I worked with a packaging designer once who would do all of his ideation in illustrator/photoshop but before presenting ideas to clients would redraw them by hand with pencil and paper. Then they were “just sketches”.
