> If I just push that 150 Hue to 152… dead. I have now left the P3 color space and the color is totally invalid and will render as nothing.

Is that true? I don't think that's true! Color Level 4 has a lot of math in it to map colors to displays’ spaces consistently, no matter how out-of-your-gamut they are. https://codepen.io/eeeps/pen/qBJvMxE

@chriscoyier Yeah it's one of those "no perfect answer" problems, I think. https://www.w3.org/TR/css-color-4/#gamut-mapping specifies what happens, and seems really smart and thoughtful, although I only have a (very) surface level understanding of it

  1. 👏 Hire someone that’s good at HTML and CSS to build components independent of JS frameworks 👏
  2. Plug components into a JS framework and layer on behavior later
  3. Pay HTML/CSS devs what they deserve for giving part of your code-base longer shelf life than unpasteurized milk

Woke up with a title in my head. Not sure what it's the title for. If you need a title later, here's one:

Them: To Whom You Gotta Hand It

"It’s never been so easy to create incredibly polished mockups" says Erica Heinz, but it's problematic. For one, "people perceive more aesthetically pleasing interfaces as more intuitive or usable (whether they are or not)."

@mia @chriscoyier I worked with a packaging designer once who would do all of his ideation in illustrator/photoshop but before presenting ideas to clients would redraw them by hand with pencil and paper. Then they were “just sketches”.
