Planning on doing a full Organizer retrospective blog post, but in the interest of transparency hereโ€™s a peek at the conference budget (funded primarily by our Open Collective, prices in USD):

Expenses: $6573.09
Revenue: $4478.90 (Free event, but via sponsors and merch)
Profit: -$2094.19

@Meyerweb @cloudcannon we did honorariums, yeahโ€”but they were small: $110 for 11m and $220 for 22m. That was documented up front on the CFP when folks submitted talks.

$1760 of the expenses went to those.

@zachleat is glyphhanger still a good tool for subsetting and generating woffs?

Looks like it's been a few years since it was updated. Is that because it Just Worksโ„ข or are you using something newer and cooler now?

@tomhazledine I still use it, yeah! But glyphhanger uses fonttools under the hood, so you can use that directly too: https://pypi.org/project/fonttools/

anyone know of a javascript web framework that satisfies the following:

Big news: Iโ€™m happy to share that yesterday I started a new job at Microsoft where I'll be working on web components for Fluent UI.

I've had a long relationship with Microsoft โ€“ from Paravel helping to build the first responsive version of their homepage in 2012 to the whole 5 year "" stunt that Rey Bango coordinated for ShopTalk โ€“ and this feels like a nice new chapter in that story arc.
