I started reading at night before bed again. It's been nice. I've finally got around to starting the series.

yaitorr,

@jcrabapple welcome to the nightly readers club!

I heard recently that Apple TV is producing a show about the series you’re reading. It must be a good one!

yaitorr,

@jcrabapple good list! “Murder at the end of the World” definitely sits at the top of my list.

yaitorr,

@jcrabapple it’s a tech-infused whodunit, with a “true crime” vibe.

Now we just have to hope that SCOTUS can't or won't overrule this.

yaitorr,

@jcrabapple @Zuckey78, yeah. I guess people could still write him in?

yaitorr,

@jcrabapple it’s not even 2024 yet and things are getting spicy. I’m eager to see what SCOTUS will do about this 🍿.

The drum and the baseline of that song are delish. Great vocals too!

Last work day before the Winter Break! I'm going through my ToDo list for the day, and I doubt my ability to complete anything. The day before any time off from work shouldn't exist. 😄

So my daughter has a habit of wrapping her retainer up in a napkin when she's eating. Today she left it wrapped up in a napkin on the counter long after she finished eating lunch and it got thrown away and the trash got taken out. So tomorrow I'll be calling the orthodontist to buy a replacement.

It's always something...

yaitorr,

@jcrabapple Ooof…it sucks to end the weekend on such a note. I agree; there is no need to try pointing the blame at you…

I guess she'll have the most expensive stocking stuffer to unveil this year.

Loved it!

Red Flag:

Middle management starts a “process improvement” by looking at how JIRA is used by the group and explaining, mostly on conviction, how everybody can improve tracking.

Tracking should flow downstream from the way work gets done. Focus on the people, not monitoring systems.

We've been enjoying watching . I've never read the book, but the show is pretty good.

yaitorr,

@jcrabapple my wife and I watched it and we loved it.

Having a morning where I've been up since 5am with my toddler, thinking about how I miss regularly , , -ing and also value my focus on and more than that output. I'm tired, but I'm happy. I miss meeting more of you all through our choice to share public, but I still appreciate what I'm reading. One day sharing will be more part of my day again, I know that. But that time is not today.

yaitorr,

@mbbroberg as a parent of a 3yo and a 5yo, I feel you and I’m with you.

I’m happy with these results

Top Artist:

Top Album: Take me back to Eden by

Top Song: Brillen, Brillen by

There’s a WIDE gap between Sleep and Santi. I do have a 5 and a 3yo at home who loves Santiago. Besides, there are worse things in the world that pass as kid-friendly music. I like Santiago!

Now that the temps are dropping in most of the US, what are your go-to winter outfits? Are you a hoodie and jeans person? Sweaters and khakis?

Me, I'm a hoodies and jeans guy, but I also like to rock a sweater sometimes. I'll pretty much be wearing boots every day from now until April.

yaitorr,

@jcrabapple, I usually do a combo of hoodies, thermal shirts, joggers and wool socks

deals in you’ve been benefiting from a yearly basis? Things like service/app subscriptions, software development tooling, or home essentials you need to increase or restock (towels, clothing, kitchen organizers)?

In my case, I’ve been benefiting from getting a discounted renewal of a Wallaby.js (https://wallabyjs.com/) license. It's a handy tool. I also got some Onsen bath towels: https://huckberry.com/store/onsen/category/p/53111-bath-towel-set (discount code: WCSET). The Wirecutter recommends them, and they work pretty well for my wife and I. The current discount led me to get more.

If you need any further proof that K-pop is now a part of mainstream American culture, it's now a featured ingredient in the apple pie that is the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.

yaitorr,

@jcrabapple Anime made it too! Goku and the guy from One Piece.

What is everyone's fave PS2 Game?

yaitorr,

@bookworm nope. I just took a look at it and it looks nice. Did you like it?

yaitorr,

@bookworm I played SH3 and Homecoming I liked them both. Their scary/macabre ambience is so detailed.
