USPS from the other side of Portland to SW, package was sent on Wednesday... the status, last updated Thursday, is "In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late". 😒 wtf #FireDeJoy
@enobacon I had one last year that was shipped from the Multnomah Village post office to my house in South Burlingame (ebay transaction). It went to San Francisco, then LA, before finally coming back to Portland. 🤦
my trick for creamy #hummus is to have two matching stick blenders, and when the first one gets almost too hot to hold, switch to the other motor head and go again. I don't think you could get one that would run 2x as long but would be interested to see it.
it's that time of year where I need wool slacks with removable lower leg sections, or I would if I didn't work at home and just switch pants between school dropoff and pickup
@enobacon I’m curious if you are wanting to get license plates only or do you want footage of stuff you see along the way? (Cuz that changes where you place camera. I was thinking you were doing low in back & higher in front, but I may be confused lol)
Can you submit license plate info to police for follow up? If so, good reason for recording the plates.
@mmb yeah the whole point of having the camera is for insurance, so it worries me that I frequently can't make out the plate, if I needed it for something more serious than the thousands of traffic violations I've endured that aren't worth the onerous process of personally doing something about it. But if I could get a cut of the tickets I could quit my day job. Trying to make a list of cars with missing or modified plates though, 🤔 maybe that could be better automated with stationary cameras.
Oregon lawmakers 2024 statewide listening tour to gather input on how to fund and invest in #transportation in 2025, first stop is happening in #Portland on June 4th, at 5 pm.
@Andres4NY I don't think it allows enough air circulation, even with the trays I have (they have a cross of grooves and a big hole in the center to drain into a catch pan below), the worms fill it with crap and it gets wet, not breathing. I think the bottom layer of buckets just needs to be suspended ~1in above a mulch layer, the worms can crawl up or down but air can still circulate. Maybe 3 stacks rotating across 4 spaces, dump on the empty spot, harvest castings from there before rotating.
@Andres4NY but then I have to run the woodchipper for like five minutes per week? Somehow need enough mulch to feed into the process (laurel hedge grows enough to do it maybe, but it needs time to dry out.)
😒 trying to teach kids to use the table / counter instead of spilling stuff down the front of the stove 🤦 The ceramic top is easy to clean, but have you ever taken those doors apart to clean behind the glass front?
