People are pissed about planters.

It saddens me to see them all interpret "planters" to mean specifically hostile, anti-homeless planters. Urban gardening is a good thing! It sucks that it's being hijacked.

My favorite example of inclusive architecture in the Mission. People sit on these steps since it’s close to BART, and sometimes it got loud. The residents could have installed an iron gate or put up a scary No Trespassing sign. Instead they just set some ground rules: not after 10 so we can sleep, and pack out trash. So reasonable and neighborly! They built a tree bench as well. #sfPol

I’ve been reading about how tea culture got started in ancient China when tea drinkers / hikers / poets would bring tea making vessels on their walks and sit under structures drinking tea and writing poetry. How nice it would be to revive that in some way.

I truly feel that the moment I liberated myself from the ideas of ‘doing / learning things for productivity / success’, my relationship with everything changed. Like wdym I can learn typography without becoming a designer, learn to play an instrument without ever performing, and just.. be?

There’s a lot of info about ‘perfecting a craft’ but I’d bet it would help most people to just ‘dabble in a craft’
