filister,

And this fuel would be enough for … (wait for it) 30 minutes. The hospital requires 9000-10000 litres a day.

And don’t forget that until recently IDF was refusing to admit that the fuel is running out in the hospitals and now they offer 300 liters. How generous of them.

Oh and those babies, that they offered to transport, how are they going to arrange it? Seriously this will require special transportation, with transport incubators, special personnel and should deliver them to another hospital with enough fuel and equipment and guess what there isn’t such a hospital in Gaza.

But again this also comes from the IDF who were refusing to admit that there is a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and that they are the reason for it.

filister,

The hospital needs 9000-10000 liters a day of fuel. Do you think there is a single power generator connected to the neonatal unit? How are they going to limit the consumption? It’s not really that easy and I bet most of the electricians also left the hospital… Your napkin math is also not taking into account any power losses, etc.

Plus offering 300 liters is laughable. Seriously, your car’s fuel tank is 60+ liters, so Israel offered them 5 car tanks worth of fuel. How generous and humane of them!

filister,

And no one is even commenting on the elephant in the room. 300 liters of diesel!

Am I the only one who thinks this is a ridiculously low amount?

filister,

Yes, here the question is if you really need to upgrade to 5, and if you really need, why not buy a dedicated NUC for example that would be a lot more powerful and extensible than the 5, while also consuming not too much more power.

Z-Library Blog: "Unprecedented seizure of our domains with books on rare languages" (z-library.se)

Today we are forced to share some sad news - yesterday many of our domains were seized again. We should highlight that the majority of the seized domains were not mirrors of the Z-Library website. Instead, they were separate sub-projects, containing only books in rare languages of the world, and their blocking is perplexing. For...

filister,

This eerily reminds of books burning.

If your card is still covered under warranty try starting an RMA. If you are more tech savvy and don’t have warranty you can try to:

  1. Replace the thermal paste on the card. Usually after around 2-3 years the thermal conductivity of the thermal paste starts to deteriorate and this seems to be the case
  2. You can modify the fan settings and curve and try to see if that helps
  3. You can try underclocking your GPU.
  4. You can also consider exchanging your PC case or replacing/adding some fans and also connecting your GPU to a slot that’s further away from other sources of heat.
filister,

This looks like a huge re-design from Valve, they seem to have done an excellent job. A lot of thought has gone into this device and I expect the subsequent test will prove that.

Another great video of Gamer’s Nexus, this Steve guy is amazing.

filister,

Where is your independently verified source? Or do you just like spreading unfounded conspiracy theories?

filister,

Ah yes, that’s very typical for democracies. I think as a next step Israel should add democratic to their name to remind people how democratic they are.

filister,

In a world so bleak, this is maybe one of the very few uplifting news.

What is the deal with Palestine and Hamas?

For mental health reasons, I had taken myself out of most political topics. But lately there seems to be a surge of talk about Palestine and Hamas (forgive me if I spelled this wrong). I do know it’s something to do with land rights, but it also seems to be so much more at the same time. I’m not trying to start any fights. I...

filister,

And it’s not like Israel didn’t drop bombs on the south you know? Nor that forced displacement of people doesn’t amount to a war crime. And one should expect a country having such a sizeable military superiority to be a little bit more concerned about civilian casualties and human suffering, but apparently they care very little.

And if you want to see it from a different perspective. Israel used the killing of 1200 Israeli citizens a pretext to kill 11K and counting civilians, cut their electricity, food, fuel and water, considerably restricting the humanitarian aid entering the enclave and almost completely destroying a city that was once hosting 1.1M people.

After continuously refusing to admit that with their own actions they have created a humanitarian catastrophe and refused all international calls for humanitarian pauses or ceasefire.

No one is refusing their right to defend themselves, but the way they are doing it is very much recalling a blind revenge and with those actions they portrayed themselves in not a very good light, even though western politicians are very adamant on publicly condemning them.

Mind you that during that time there were an increase of violent settlers attacks in the West bank, a lot of Palestinians got evicted, killed, injured with the silent approval of the authorities and the IDF, which is additionally stirring the conflict.

filister,

Stop spreading your disinformation, and check www.ochaopt.org/data/casualties. If only you were capable of critical thinking, here we are talking about thousands of civilian lives lost, and utter destruction and suffering inflicted on the civilian population.

filister, (edited )

Don’t you see what is happening in Gaza? Do you think there people are living the life? Maybe for a moment try to put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel? Seriously!

And I only question your ability of critical thinking which isn’t exactly an offence. Plus I provided a link for you to check the numbers. And if you truly believe numbers don’t matter, could you try to explain to me how come 165K Palestinians have been injured and another 6K have been killed since 2007, and on the other side of the spectrum, 300 killed and 6000 injured and all this considering that the military wing of Hamas is 30K.

You can also check Wikipedia, the UN, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and countless more human rights watchdogs, who also seem to disagree with you. Heck there are even Israeli websites who are occasionally writing about timesofisrael.com/israeli-groups-slam-plan-to-exp…

haaretz.com/…/0000018a-b8a1-d8ee-adee-fdbbd8b5000….

filister,

You realise those 165K are injured by the IDF, and don’t you find it a bit disproportionate? Like 27 times more injured. And please do not tell me that you consider all those 165K Palestinians to be all terrorists, as I said before only 30K are supposed to be associated with Hamas’ military wing.

And what about the human violations topic, the illegal settlements, the impunity of IDF soldiers and settlers. How many of those had been given effective sentences for killing or injuring unprovoked Palestinians?

Or actively targeting journalists, expelling human rights activists, trying to discredit the UN, etc. Does this sound to you very democratic? Because in my eyes it is quite the opposite. You know there was a member of your parliament who was calling for dropping a nuclear bomb over Gaza, so he got removed from the government but he wasn’t brought to court or actively investigated. And guess what will happen if someone from Palestine suggests the same. This guy will be killed, his home bulldozed and it would be widespread condemnation, etc.

This I call double standards!

filister,

And terrorist premature babies.

It is actually quite disheartening to read for all this in the news and know that after all this Israel won’t be held accountable for all the destruction and lost lives.

And I am thinking about the hospital personnel who decided to stay and continue helping the sick and vulnerable. They are the real heroes here. And I also know that if I was at their place I would come out of this as a completely broken human being, traumatised for life. And it makes me so sad for those people. Probably they also lost their homes and have nowhere to go.

What is Israel going to leave after themselves is an complete wasteland, utter desperation, broken lives, lifelong trauma for a big chunk of the population and even more hatred.

filister,

Why not Tailscale? I think it can do exactly that and it is very easy to configure.

filister,

It just shows the person’s morality. For him lives matter differently based on ethnicity and probably religion too. And guess who else thought the same not so long ago.

filister,

So don’t forget that Hamas’ military wing is about 30K, in a population of 2.4 millions, so let’s say half are children, so that’s 1.2M left, and let’s say the other half are women, 600K is roughly the male population of Gaza. So it appears that 1/20 male are associated with Hamas. 5%.

And by killing and destroying so many lives and homes, and futures, Israel is well underway to groom another generation of broken human beings who are more likely to get radicalized.
