i am genuinly worried about the changes bill shorten wants to introduce to ndis they are being dressed up as “helping disabled people” and “making the ndis more flexible” but its actually reducing how much money plans have and reducing what we can do with funding, treating ndis as a business. not to mention dehumanizing disabled people by requiring regular checkins to prove you are still disabled enough i mean “assess if you still need supports”
i am genuinely worried about the effects of purity culture on teens. i just discovered the RACK tone indicator. a tone indicator for saying something is “risk aware consentual kink”. like. teens are scared of talking freely about kink in case someone thinks it isn’t consensual and they don’t know about the risks.
this is the default, this is an important part of kink that’s talked about constantly, and purity culture has teens scared of being Wrong because they didn’t write a four page dissertation on how everything in their post is consensual and everyone knows the risks.
and I’m not just saying “oh it’s bad” because i think it’s silly, I’m saying it because purity culture is the tool of oppression. bigots already say that queer people are related to sex. when will teens be using “/lesbianism” as a tone tag?
