@futurebird @llewelly if vertebrates went extinct do you think invertebrates would eventually grow to large sizes? like could there be insects the size of dogs and beyond? if it did happen, what features would you expect to evolve that would allow such a thing?

friends w reading comprehension is this abstract saying that there were 3400 genera of dinosaur if you add up the number of genera that existed troughtout the mesozoic? or is it saying that there were times during the mesozoic in which there were 3400 genera at the same time?

M helenae, widely celebrated as the smallest #dinosaur known, tips the scales at a whopping 2 grams!
