In case you didn't know, you need to mute user when you block them too because blocking doesn't prevent them from appearing on your timeline. If you are in a conversation with a few people, one of them you have blocked AND muted, and the conversation has ppl replying to it still who you did not block and mute, you will see the entire conversation anyway. This is a PSA.

@irfan treat block as "I don't want you to read my posts" and mute as "I don't want to see your posts" on here.

What's happening though is I blocked AND muted but I still see replies because it's in a thread with someone I did not block or mute. When they reply, I see the comment they are replying to. Essentially it means I still see the conversation in my notifications anyway. Which kinda weakens its purpose as a safety and curation tool

@irfan the reason why I initially thought blocks only would work is because blocks on twitter worked as block AND mute at the same time. Without needing to further mute people

@irfan yeah. Imagine the nightmare scenario of being in a conversation you want to leave but forever cannot leave because block/mute doesn't work and people keep replying to it, tagging you haha. Hahaha....

@irfan there are some big accounts here I blocked because I think they are too loud and too sure about their positions and thoughts (which I disagree with) and I STILL see them on my TL after blocking coz people boosts them. So I had to mute. And then I muted their usernames too.

What I think whenever I see people defending killing stray dogs by saying “my cat was killed by some stray dog”….

Stray dogs can’t get to your cat unless your cat has been wandering outside and pooping everywhere.

Anyway, there's a NOT stray cat (collar and all) that kept shitting outside my house in Malaysia and it's infuriating because the owner wouldn't do anything about it.

@rakyat ugh. I've been asking my bro to try to take a photo and post on the neighborhood Whatsapp group to shame the owner into doing something... Not only does this cat shit in front of the house, will try to pick fights with my cat too. So start la hissing fest at night

@rakyat idk how common is a neighborhood groupchat but it has been useful coz quick dissemination of information when water cut or electricity shenanigans. Sometimes when alarms ring or got strange cars parked around. But most of the time it's just noise

@rakyat haha groupchat can happen organically... Pj housing area. It just so happened that this area decided to pool together for a neighborhood watch and I guess that's how the groupchat happened

No pics but it's always nice to have soup. Made lots of pork ribs lotus root soup with groundnuts and now I'm just imbibing soup like my blood is made of soup (it is. I'm Cantonese)

is one of my most favourite actors of all time, it's unfortunate I almost never see him in any piece of media I watch other than where I first learned of him, . I always find the same (British) actors in a lot of content surrounding British people/culture, but never him... That man is a living legend to my eyes, so idk why that's the case other than him refusing a lot of acting offers, or I'm just not watching the right shows where he'd be interested in acting in.

@irfan I love Blackadder! I didn't watch every episode and I kinda jumped around but I enjoyed every episode I watched xD I watched some jeeves and Wooster too, and it's fun

Blackadder has the added benefit of Rowan Atkinson NOT as Mr. Bean

@irfan I am much of a Mr. Bean fan because of the slapstick physical humor. Blackadder is hm, dark comedy + satire, I guess. If I have to call it something. Every season is a different time period but the cast is largely the same.

@skinnylatte @ubi @irfan I went from House to Blackadder 😂 it was initially jarring but then I vastly preferred the blackadder experience very quickly (yeah I know these are two very different shows but i burnt out on House after season 3)
