you should use direct IO. you should bypass the cache. you should directly write to the disk. you should skip all the kernel stuff. you surely will not regret enabling direct IO.

@cell me too tbh. well atleast supermarkets. mostly because my bank sucks and i am to lazy to use another bank (actually i did like 90% of the stuff for it already)

i can only get cash at supermarkets lately. there are no ATMs left.

so i need to pay with card to get cash anyway...

i still try to have enough cash with me at all times
