There’s a cool little app that goes through your locally hosted music, grabs the artists and then watches MusicBrainz for releases for them artists. Upon seeing a new release, it will send a notification announcing it....
If you like the command line, it can help you a lot in organising your library. You can pass it queries to list songs, or bulk edit attributes such as title, artist, language, genre etc; you can tell it to automatically put your files in folders named after some of those attributes…

A piece of rock with mysterious markings that lay largely unstudied for 4,000 years is now being hailed as a “treasure map” for archaeologists, who are using it to hunt for ancient sites around north-western France.
In my opinion (and others’ in this thread) the headline is misleading even with the quotes and the tldr was welcome. That’s all. I don’t think there’s a lot much more to discuss without getting attached to what at the end of the day is just a post in an aggregator.

The problem with the tragedies averted is that you can’t count them. EnergyControl have been active in Spain for over two decades now, and I’m quite sure they have quietly saved lots of lifes, apart from having become the de facto source to factcheck every new drug scare from the media. Last year in an unrelated conversation with an aussie he was telling me how he felt most of Australia’s culture was copied from somewhere else as if that was a bad thing, and my point then was that the pro of that is that you can copy just the good stuff. My point stands: EnergyControl is something I think you won’t regret copying.
