Both parties are the same doesn’t mean that they have literally the same policy it means that they work together and focus on Republican policy. Because there are only two choices the fact that the Democrats are perpetually the weaker half despite having a much greater Democratic majority including during voting when you claim that it matters it means that the Republican policy always gets passed.

Both sides are the same hive mind that do what their most powerful members want, unelected oligarchs who pay for both parties elections, the other side are maybe better intentioned but tools of the same system designed to structurally lose to the oligarch side despite what the votes state.

I never said just the democrats, the weak side, is pointless and should never exist in this way. I think the US government is an evil and corrupt oligarchy that maintains order by nuclear terror and are run by the modern versions of Nazis and shouldn’t exist. Your internal politics are a stupid joke and another circus.

As a networking engineer using a VPN service where you don’t have any information on the other end of the tunnel or worse install software which can essentially packet mirror your traffic to any location is the worst possible idea and I can’t believe they convinced so many people to do it.

I’m looking for some good reading on how to, eventually, best help be a step parent to my partner’s children and NEARLY ALL books are geared toward the woman’s perspective as though men don’t want to be a strong teacher and develop these kids into healthy adults. Ugh!...

It is because men aren’t engaged in parenting nearly as much as anecdotes suggest. I used to work at a family court and like 19 out of 20 men never even bothered to appear in their custody cases. When you go on reddit it’s a huge vast sexist conspiracy against men but in real life they fail to do the absolute bare minimum.

There aren’t any books about it because you are the 1 out of 20 dude and a large percent of that cohort doesn’t buy books.

Finally sprung for the 12lb bag because we love these things. I usually make buffalo soy curls and throw them on a salad or mac and cheese, or make lemon “chicken” orzo with them, but I’m open to other suggestions from anyone else who likes them since I have enough for about the next decade.

I just wing everything and use neither cups or a scale. I’ve been cooking for like 30 years lol so everything comes out how I like it 🤷‍♀️

Sure, depends where you are at and what you are baking. I make sourdough bread at least weekly totally by eye, memory and skill. I use coffee mugs most often. I used to measure things like 15 years ago but no longer need to.

To be honest I do find it kind of offensive calling peoples food shitty (not taking offense from you dw. just explaining my thought process). This community is just to showcase what real vegans eat and to celebrate it and show non-vegans and struggling vegans what real food looks like and that it doesn’t have to be “gourmet” and take a long time. It really isn’t shitty and I am frankly tired of the reddit tier bullshit. Bigger picture is also carnists have no idea what we even eat or what real food is.

The biggest problem with veganism is recidivism so this is really a showcase for a discord server of friends with a ephemeral community to ask questions with and share something we have to do every day. It isn’t about “porn” or visual fluff to look at and no one should be insecure about posting anything here as I think. Further, I’m of the opinion that instagram and instagramability is toxic to peoples mind and on the other hand the really beautiful food-blogger tier photos are designed to sell you something not teach.

Again, I know where you are coming from and I appreciate you taking the time to comment and participate. I know when I write out thoughts people get super duper mad and think that I am mad (I’m not I’m bored at work lol) but this is something I thought a lot about and even wrote about in the sidebar here.

I’m not against setting up a vegan food meme community in the big picture but calling things porn makes me want to vomit lol. I hate reddit.
