hare_ware,

The only time actually use a VPN is when I don’t completely trust the network owner…

hare_ware,

And the bit saying DxDiag opens faster feels really strange…

hare_ware,

How would a native implementation be better than DXVK? Wouldn’t develops still need to port the rest of their app to Linux to use it? At that point, you could still just include DXVK, would the performance really be that much worse?

hare_ware,

It’s not even that this one doesn’t make sense, it’s just not funny or a meme, even if it’s agreeable.

hare_ware,

Honestly I laughed when it just spit an SVG in text at me. I was wholly expecting a GUI to appear.

hare_ware,

“I hate Google and their dropping useful products and stalking me constantly,” I post from my Pixel 3A while listening to YouTube Music.

hare_ware,

There’s also some issue with good VSCode when using C# & .NET

hare_ware,

I don’t like having to choose between Discord or Logseq and things that actually need the RAM…

So let’s talk about this Wayland thing (pointieststick.com)

Wayland. It comes up a lot: “Bug X fixed in the Plasma Wayland session.” “The Plasma Wayland session has now gained support for feature Y.” And it’s in the news quite a bit lately with the announcement that Fedora KDE is proposing to drop the Plasma X11 session for version 40 and only ship the Plasma Wayland session....

hare_ware,

I bought an Nvidia GPU for Blender & CUDA support, and it was cheaper than the similarly performing AMD GPUs I could find at the time.

hare_ware,

Sites should nag people for using an “Unsupported Browser” and tell them to switch to a modern & secure one like Firefox or Librewolf.

hare_ware,

Okay, but change to what then? All the other options are just Chrome, Safari, and Firefox again.

hare_ware,

I was unaware of this even being a thing.

hare_ware,

I will need it two minutes tops. If I don’t use it by then, I’ll delete it, especially if it gives a warning like Rust does. But this? It just gets in the way.

hare_ware,

I didn’t stop using VGA until I had a monitor new enough to not support it. Also, DVI was great because of the VGA support.

hare_ware,

Gotta commend the format completion though.

hare_ware,

Bed room door closed, but usually not locked. 8 sentry turrets have the outer perimeter of the house secured. /s

hare_ware,

I did this during the pandemic in a crowded public bathroom, and people fucking stared at me like I was insane. Granted I used a stall like a urinal, and might have kicked some stuff, but a lot of them weren’t wearing masks so…

hare_ware,

And the former too, wtf.

hare_ware,

That’s different from a public restroom though, that’s someone’s house.

hare_ware,

Wait, no, I mean I used my feet to do everything, which involved a lot of kicking things in a crowded space, which added that I was a teenager & a black male was probably not a good look. I was pretty agitated though, but not angry. :p

hare_ware,

I have broken it and it has broken so much more often then any of my Arch installs. I’m probably going to switch to Arch on the machine the screenshot is from and just setup btrfs snapshots & LUKS manually, which were the main reasons I picked it in the first place.

hare_ware,

I could never get much use out it, I had a T450S with the short (but not the super short) kind.

I just forgot to model it here lol.
