Anybody here use the modern Wordpress block editor for actual editing of text? Because it's destroying work underneath me literally every day.

I've gone back to Classic editor for now, but wow does that create some other issues.

I use the Block Editor on more than 30 WordPress instances without any problems. Presumably there are some (old?) plugins. At least the theme used has not been updated for over a year. Otherwise, you should contact WordPress support.

JournalPress has not been updated for more than 3 years. This could be a cause. Debugging could be helpful: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

But I would still check first to see if it is not really related to JournalPress (debugging, etc.).
Then at least you know the cause. I frequently check various plugins and themes simply because of my participation in the German support forum. I haven't had any problems with the block editor - at least now that the block editor is pretty well developed.

Ein superinteressanter Artikel, der deutlich macht wie die digitale Revolution in NRW "funktioniert" 🤣. Ein Grund übrigens, warum ich meinen Job als Lehrer und ADV-Fachberater gekündigt habe und seit Anfang des Jahres selbständig bin. Ich habe schon vor Jahren Kontakt zur in wegen LMS Kontakt gehabt: Damals wurde statt Moodle ein LMS präferiert, von dem schon lange keine Rede mehr ist. Geändert hat sich nichts.

US-Werbeeinnahmen bei X eingebrochen

Seit Elon Musk den Kurznachrichtendienst X - ehemals Twitter - übernommen hat, sind die Werbeeinnahmen um mehr als die Hälfte eingebrochen. Auch in Deutschland wenden sich immer mehr Firmen von der Plattform ab.

6.2.1 broke shortcodes in Gutenberg themes seemingly randomly. Edit, looks like it affects only templates, someone had made a ticket: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/58341

The issue was mentioned in a case in the German-language support forum today. Here it concerned the well-known and widely used plugin "Rank Math SEO".

This can be done very easily with the Create Block Theme plugin. In addition, the plugin offers a few more options that are very interesting. 👍
