I’m honestly kinda excited about the possibilities in the greater scheme of things, but the fact that Microsoft will pretty much record whatever people are doing on their systems is just nuts nd slightly terifying. This is something that should ideally be done locally, without big corporations looking in - but that’s for sure not what they are doing.
More likely they will use it as an excuse to do what they did even harder. He already gave out some instructions for future steps and those instructions were pretty much “carry on with what we started”.

I currently have a win 11 machine and would like to dual boot with Linux. Looking at some of the different options, it seems many aren’t recommended for dual booting. Are there any that are?
I guess it is better than shutting down but can’t help feeling a bit sad and a little betrayed about this. I bought in because the MMO-lite promise. I understand the vision was too big for the new situation but scaling down to single player is going back on everything. I wonder why they didn’t keep the matchmaking at least if it is considered to be added in again at some point.

That makes no sense to me tbh. If you are trained to keep the lid down, you are alerted immediately that something is off if the seat is up - you clearly see into the toilet and see that someone forgot to put it down.
If you are trained to only have the seat down and lid up, then the change between seat up and down is not significant enough to notice and stop muscle memory to sit and fall in.
Maybe I’m not understanding you but lid down is a foolproof way to not fall in from my perspective. My wife converted to the lid down way and doesn’t complain
So you can have the lid down while seat is up? Then what you said before makes much more sense. Though not sure what purpose this feature brings. Or how that would even lool like, never seen anything like that.
You said your lid and seat are totally independent - suggesting you can leave the seat up but close the lid. Idk what toilet you have but if I want to close the lid, it is impossible to not put the seat down. It’s like saying to turn a page on a book while leaving the current page visible - it’s impossible.
