I had to do one communucation trainung where the trainer saud that saying “no problem” should not be used, because it implies there might’ve been a problem. I was not convinced though.
I think OP was asking what it means as in how it came to haventhe meaning you describe. “You are welcome” seems to be a completely arbitrary thing to say and out of context.
Other commenters here explained it’s supposed to mean “you are welcome to my assistance” basically - which makes sense, but in the short form it makes little sense if you arenot familiar with the origins of the phrase (as I was until now)
This is solid advice, but… you know… don’t look down on vegans maybe? They are trying to do the same thing (reduce animal suffering) but are able/willing to go above and beyond.
I mean… reducing meat is how people would go vegan over longer period if time (as opposed to over night) though? Not sure where you were going with your original comment.
It is easy once you are in, know what are the good vegan meals and how to cook them etc. Most people will have animal product for each meal - they don’t know better. To them vegans just eat salads and nuts, which is obviously not enticing. If they don’t take the easy way, they will just continue the only way they know how and change nothing.
Over here all vegan cheese is violife or similar. It is not bad but lacks the cheesiness and the flavor is frankly a little weird - I suspect the coconut oil to be behind it but can’t verify as all I have available is cockonut oil based :(
Vegans might be a bit preachy sometimes, because they want to change something that is a problem. It’s about raising awareness. Ultimately, it is up to you what you choose, no one can force you. Ultimately it is you ignoring a huge problem which is out there and choosing to do absolutely nothing about it.
You know, that’s kinda the point. You are reducing suffering. The hypothetical animal not born is one less animal suffering. It’s not necessarily only about saving them from being eaten.
If you can’t stop eating meat, buy from sources where they care for the animals and give them good life for the time they are alive. It’s not vegan, but you still reduce suffering. It’s not perfect, but it is a valid alternative.
I mean, you are not wrong. In a way easy way is always the lazy way - doesn’t mean it is wrong. It can be daunting. Some people will take the fast, but hard way. Some people will take the longer/ but easy. If you end up in same destination, it’s a win in the end.
I thought I’d try GW2 after years of not playing (last I played was PoE era, bounced off fully before Icebrood saga) and finally managed to get into it!...
Bummer. But oh well, I’m thinking of replaying story anyway, I realize I don’t really remember what’s happening thaf much. Should keep me busy. Though the new weapons look fun, I assume those are tied to the new expansion even though they are not elite spec specific as far as I can tell?
I have all the LS luckily, been logging in to get them. I think the new ones are just tied to the expacs, no?
Friends would be nice but all seem to have left GW2 behind, need to look for an active guild at one point I guess. Though my schedule will be far from regulr in near future for any scheduled group play.
since after the introduction of the legendary wardrobe, you can equip any legendary on all your characters now
Ooooh, this is nice indeed! Along with the selectable stats (do I remember it right?) this sounds like a really good incentive to get Legendaries. I might want to finally look inyo those.
That is indeed great, first time I can really apreciate that. The issue is with how tough it is to get into with achievements/collections being used as quest stand-ins (no way to get a quick recap on what I did), metric fuckton of currencies (I did not dare to check the wallet yet to see them all) etc.
What happened to "You're welcome!" as a response to "Thank You"? It's not even included in the canned answers on an apple watch. Have we as a society abandoned it?
I hear “No problem” far more often.
