Told the fiance of the girl I was secretly seeing that I would probably bang her tonight at her birthday party. I vaguely remember puking in the toilet that night but then woke up in the garage the next morning confused why everyone was giving me the stink eye.
I still feel really bad about it, like not even just how I told but the fact that I was even seeing her anyways. I was young, but that’s not an excuse and I should’ve know better.
It’s always hilarious and frustrating when people who don’t understand a topic try to disprove it. This is the same energy as flat earthers pointing to the horizon and going “See!?!” or anti-vaxxers pointing out people who still get sick.
Anyone who thinks this logic is compelling should actually crack a book. I’d recommend Judith butlers gender trouble, but this sort of meme is peak dunning kruger. Literally too ignorant of a topic to actually argue against it.
“In the electoral sphere especially, where ‘ugly patterns of pervasive racial discrimination’ have so long governed, we should demand better – of ourselves, of our political representatives, and most of all of this Court.”
Justice Elena Kagan
Everyone knows this is the objectively wrong decision, the judges are just playing politics because they have the votes to do so. And as a result, we all suffer.
“Uniting Atari and Intellivision after 45 years ends the longest-running console war in history,”
Sure, but they both lost the war long ago. This is just some archeologist coming along to display both their bones in a museum hoping to boost gift shop sales.
I like the idea of actions over words, but voting in Portland is 100% mail in. The whole process takes like 10 minutes tops. Is there really something else you can do with that small amount of time that has an effect on government actions that would exclude you from voting? Like, I get it, “stop funding genocide” isn’t on the ballot, but what action are you doing that will help stop said genocide that precludes you from ALSO taking 10 minutes to vote?
If you don’t have a good answer for that, then not voting is literally virtue signaling. Which is by definition using words instead of action.
Exactly! In the same boat over here. I’m sure The Marvel’s is fun and fine, but I haven’t got around to Ms. Marvel yet and now I just feel fatigue at the whole concept of doing homework to catch up.
$6,000 plus for two day down to the minute itinerary app based experince? Hell no. Sounds expensive and exhausting.
$400 bucks for a dinner for two with drinks, a floor show and a ton of cool photo ops? Well that’s something I would consider for a fun date night if I lived in the area.
