While Foundation has its issues, it’s definitely not terrible and if they listen to feedback there’s still time to bring it all together.

Now as long as it doesn’t end up like Invasion, I still haven’t been able to finish that series, I’m not sure it really deserved a second season.

Godzilla is a lot of fun the few times he’s turned up so far, I’m hopeful that there will be more screentime for him as the series progresses, as the few short scenes we’ve gotten just make me really want another monster movie instead of the series we got.

The people conflict definitely seems forced for effect, and consequently doesn’t really hit the mark unfortunately. I agree with you on the grandmother, as she seems to be the closest to an actual person compared to the stereotypical military men she’s surrounded by that could have been pulled from any other similar series.

We have a history of being very adept sailors, the early days of Netflix where a huge library of content was available on demand for a reasonable price meant it didn’t make sense to go to the trouble of taking to the seas because the legal alternative was a better experience. Now that the market is fragmented and you have to pay through the nose to have the same level of variety, it’s not surprising Australians are some of the first to jack up.

I would be interested to see if there had been a commensurate increase of ships on the high seas from Australia.

I don’t think there’s magic one size fits all answer to this, it really sucks you have to deal with it. Avoid destructive behaviours like drinking until you pass out etc, they won’t help in the long term. Do you have any friends IRL you can call on?

In The Office (US version) it is revealed that the mockumentary the viewer watches does in fact exist inside the universe. Dunder-Mifflin crew is even interviewed as stars of the show and Pam has a thing for the boom mic operator who worked on the set....

One Cut of the Dead is one that comes to mind, you can watch the zombie movie at the start, and then the rest of the movie is the crazy things that went on in the background to make the movie. It’s a lot of fun.

I work in an office in a professional setting, but when I see fuckwits on the road my base instinct reverts to full bogan to berate them.

My favourite is seeing the dashcam drivers who are clearly immigrants or tourists in DCA videos react the same way. It’s a beautiful cultural melting pot hearing some Asian dude asking some deadshit on the road “the fuck you doing, mate?”

Watched this with my mates tonight, what a fun movie. Some of the dialog, the dubbing of the henchmen that sounds like it was all done by the same person with slightly different voices, the fact that Joe tries to bang anything with a pulse. Lots of fun if you don’t take it seriously!
