it's about that time in the year where I don't need to have my heater on anymore, but my cat loves having her bed next to it and being very warm and becoming a liquid. I want to get her a heating pad or something, but I've heard those can be dangerous for them for some reason? does anyone have any recommendations for a cat heat source?

@danderson I am just imagining the little kitties cuddling up with the plants and it is too cute.

I know that she wants to be very warm because during a heatwave where it got to be 120F we went out and got a small air conditioner and taped off a section of a room so the cats could be cool but she just kept running out of it because she wanted to just be a dead body and all liquid at max heat.

@danderson and yes I have fluffy fleece blanket too and it is her favorite place to be (except for her bed next to the heater). I leave for work and she's on it and I come home and I don't think she has moved.

is there a non-ableist antonym to "smart" - specifically in the case where I am talking about pluralism of values and needing to value both when we are smart and when brain not work so good, that both exist in all of us and that's good.

I need some help:
So If we want to really kill birdsite, we need to do things that are impossible on corporate platforms

I have been working on one idea, , by adding an API endpoint to let masto lists be manually controlled lists of statuses (instead of lists of accounts), so an external algo can autopopulate them.

I have no idea what i'm doing tho, and we need to move quick before another centralized platform really takes off.

OK THE FEDIVERSE needs a client/app, because are some of the most broken things on the internet rn.

  • tabular ingredients with explicit and gestural (a pinch) units
  • serving size with the ingredient quantity multiplier
  • open ended typed metadata fields for cooking/prep times, tools required, preheat temps, difficulty, cuisine type, dietary restrictions, etc.
  • steps with collapsible images
  • variations as "replies"
