Hey @nextcloud I see you made "AI" the "centerpiece" of Hub 8?
https://news.itsfoss.com/nextcloud-hub-8/

What model are you using?
What data has it been trained on, and by whom?
Can I recreate your model from scratch?

Edit: the "centerpiece" part might have come from It's FOSS News, although Nextcloud messaging around AI is similarly excited.

jrp,

@m0bi @Michał "rysiek" Woźniak · 🇺🇦 I see no mentioning of origins and ownership of their training data playing any role in their ethicality rating.

They do only offer

"Is the software (both for inferencing and training) open source?
Is the trained model freely available for self-hosting?
Is the training data available and free to use?"

Seems fundamentally flawed, if i may say so.

@nextcloud

jrp,

@m0bi If it's optional, why do they provide an (incomplete) ethicality rating at all?

I am selling this hand made wood (I forget what type) eurorack case. It contains two Nano bus boards of twenty sockets each and two Tip Top Audio uZeus modules for power and two 15v power supplies. Plus a 3u to 1u converter. I'll also throw in the slew limiter and two passive multiples. €500 which is less than what it is all worth. And I'm willing to negotiate. Unfortunately, only EU.

Cat not included.

Please boost. Gracias.

Heather Stebbins piece "An Index of Fictions", composed for Yarn/Wire on Currents Vol. 9 is microtonal percussion layers versus tempered piano versus modular synth. That makes for quite an enticing journey for tuning tensions alone. Beautiful work & concentration.

My father took me there with him, to visit a composer friend in 1978. I saw this room full of giant synth module racks and super futuristic mix desk with multichannel height-adjustable speakers all around the room with my own eyes back then. I remember the heat created by this was enough for the whole complex to be heated in the Swedish winter.
A personal initiating experience for myself and impressive until today (but the old tech is mostly gone from what i hear).

This must be from the 80s, vertical for speaker rails on walls still there, but no speakers on them
