Business can be good for all stakeholders.

Many smaller businesses are good organisations. It’s when they grow too big, that moral gets lost.

Plus they don’t get made in large numbers.

Is it really something that inpresses other people? I feel cars only impress their owners and they hope other people are as impressed.

kaffeeringe,
@kaffeeringe@feddit.de avatar

That is exactly, what I mean. It’s not so much about impressing other people and more about impressing themselves. They want a big car, because they think, it makes them big. Even people who care about cars don’t see every car and think how cool the owner must be.

It can have a placebo effect. Like a glass of warm milk.

Drugging you brain isn’t good sleep. Sleep is the time for a brain to clean up. Try something like meditation.

Many of us love building beautiful fantasy cities. And it suck when you can only build cities that are worse that reality. Ok. I do understand, that there is not every mode of transportation from the start. But biking and walking!?

No. Social Democrats protected democracy again both nazis and communists. Communists don’t want democracy. They want dictatorship of workers over everybody else. Nazis want the dictatorship of their people iver everybody else. Social democrats want a democracy of free and equal people.

I wish I could tell YouTube, I can’t buy a car or sell a house, I’m not interested in football an I don’t wear make up or womens’ underwear.

I think ads could work better if YouTube didn’t use them to make the free experience awful. They usually have neither to do with me nor with the content I tried to watch.

Yes, I hate every single brand that interupts my gardening videos.

In Germany it’s a crime to pretent a crime.

Any good Cities Skylines-style game with support for bike lanes, bus lanes, bike paths and pedestrian paths?

I think it’d be cool to design a virtual city with easy bike/pedestrian access to nearby shops, schools and other amenities while minimizing car dependency (as therefore the pollution, noise, parking issues and noise that come with it)....

kaffeeringe,
@kaffeeringe@feddit.de avatar

Yes, it’s sad, that you always have to build a car city.

I think, the Linux ecosystem has changed a lot. There is far more support for it, than it used to have. With more software coming to your computer, it’s harder to find out, which programms are trustworthy. I think it’s a good idea to put programms into a secure box and only allow access to the system in a controlled way. That is what snap makes possible.

Canonical needed that feature for their business clients and private users benefit from that.
