Matilda was enjoying some fresh herbs from the garden for “second breakfast” this morning, right up until the point she seemingly spooked herself and ran off… silly girl! (Don’t worry, she came back a few minutes later and finished eating.) #Bunny #HouseRabbit #Video #BunniesOfMastodon

From the bunnycam today, this is how Matilda spends the majority of her time every day

Bun-buns were happy to see us, of course, but even more happy to be let back into the rest of the house again. Gotta explore & sniff everywhere to make sure nothing changed!

Our bunnycams of course were on when the earthquake hit - this one I think captures the moment best (along with the sounds of my wife freaking out).

I was surprised how loud the quake was… at first I thought a big truck had crashed into our house!

Short video of a home security camera, looking at a cardboard A-frame play house for our bunnies, when suddenly there is a loud bang and then everything shakes somewhat. In the background can be heard a woman’s voice saying “my fucking god my fucking god my fucking god… it’s an earthquake!”

Oh, and in case anyone was worried what the bunnies thought of the earthquake?

They are under the bed and I think they slept through it.

This is an old one, but it's a good one.

I spend hours & hours each week cleaning up after my 2 rabbits - and they're actually quite tidy as far as it goes!

If you're not ready to commit to that kind of cleaning effort for the next 10+ years, stick with chocolate or stuffed toy bunnies this Easter.

@ncrav @RainCityBunnies We are very fortunate to have a rabbit-savvy vet just a 15 min drive away; though they aren't big enough to do the hospital level stuff like what we needed for Matilda's dental issues. For that the nearest place is an hour drive away (in good traffic).

A much younger Chuck would like to remind everyone about why a real bunny rabbit at Easter might not be the best idea...

The vet we have to go to for Matilda's dental stuff is the same emergency vet hospital - which is 53 miles away. Dropping her off for her day visit yesterday mean I have to drive down & back twice... so a total of 212 miles of driving in one day.

That said, the Keithmobile did manage about 37 MPG... not bad for a 4,500 lbs SUV. Diesel FTW!

Matilda’s checkup went well - vet said she is healing really well. But it did involve a very long car ride, so Matilda was more than a bit grouchy at me after we got home… but all is forgiven for treats. ;-)

Matilda is going back to the vet today for another check-up - this time for a sedated CT scan and inspection of the inside of her mouth where the teeth were removed. As such, she's spending the whole day there.

Here's really hoping we hear good news about how she's healing and there are no further complications...

We bought these ramen kits from a place we like in the city, and I felt like ramen today so that’s what I’m having! (Also: induction cooktop goooo!)
