@piofthings Apple is adding a built-in password manager into the Apple ecosystem. I could imagine that cuts about 30% (if not more) of the 1Password user base.
@khalidabuhakmeh umm… as someone else mentioned people use a mix of systems, I am getting tired of tie ins… specially in the apple eco system! I do pay for iCloud family, mind!
The VCS integration in #JetBrainsRider is so awesome. If you find a file in your commit window you need to ignore, you can just right-click and "Add to .gitignore”. No more tracking down the file and figuring out where to put the line. #dotnet#git#vcs#software#development
The great tragedy of #aspnetcore is that it probably would have wider adoption if it stayed the course with MVC and Razor pages now that SSR is the latest trend.
The cycle returned to ASP.NET's strength, and Blazor had to pivot back to SSR to keep up.
Instead of being ahead of the curve, it's now behind it. 🤷♂️
@khalidabuhakmeh The idea was that you have extension isolated properly from "actual" types and obviously static class allow for additional compiler optimizations. You have also to explicit reference their namespace for proper scoping. I always found it stupid in general, they could have achieved the same with a new keyword and the IL type ends up being a static class with this becoming the first argument in methods. But I guess it was cheaper to implement like that back then.
@khalidabuhakmeh First looked at Rider when MS abandoned VS on Mac. Now using it 100% for Maui and Blazor projects over a couple of month. There was a bit of friction from muscle memory but so far I am missing nothing. If you have questions I am happy to provide experience from the transition.
