kuoushi,

If you’re going by the mascot’s name, it’s basically Elephantgiraffe. No spaces, in that order.

kuoushi,

You can close signups on PeerTube and just run it for one channel. I’ve been doing something similar minus the YouTube mirroring. Honestly works well and is a pretty great solution. Not what you’re asking for, but it is a possible solution.

kuoushi,

Please tell me they’re making an adaptation for Blaster Knuckle.

kuoushi,

This right here is the exact reason Starfield won most innovative, and the same reason Hogwarts Legacy won best on Steam Deck. People who hadn’t played any of the games in the votes only voted on games they had heard of.

kuoushi,

Looks more like a moose flying backwards with blood coming out of its head

UO has a super robust eco system of private shards and server software. It’s kind of amazing. Pretty active development on things like ServUO or ModernUO servers. The client has been fully rewritten and actively developed with improvements on ClassicUO. All of these are open source as well.

For servers you have places that function entirely as different eras of UO like the Renaissance shard, or even entirely new content like what’s in Outlands.

There’s honestly a lot to be found out there and it’s really neat.

kuoushi,

I get this fairly often though usually not right next to each other like that. Not sure how active development is for liftoff anymore though, so hard to tell if this is something that’ll get any attention.

kuoushi,

Ah, kids. Yeah that’ll take a toll on your free time for a long while. That makes sense. I still use liftoff over other apps and it has been working like a champ even without updates. If the dev ever gets back to working on it, that’ll keep it on the top of the apps for me.

kuoushi,

Been using this plugin for a while now, and it honestly makes it super simple to get your blog on the fediverse. Really cool, and I recommend it if your site is on WordPress. You basically have to do a tiny bit of set up, then you can pretty much forget them plugin is even there, it just works.

kuoushi,

Basically, people on other activitypub services like Mastodon can follow your posts on WordPress and they’ll see them in their feed like any other content. You can install another plugin to follow others on the Fediverse from within your WordPress site as well, but I haven’t felt the need for that yet personally.

What games had easy soft locks that prevented you from either progressing or getting a true ending?

The thought came to mind after reading a recent post about Baldurs Gate 3 here but it reminded me of the Japense only PSX game Mizzurna Falls where if you don’t perform a certain action early in the game you are prevented from getting a true ending. While this might not be a traditional soft lock because you can still progress...

kuoushi,

I managed to soft lock the new Pokemon Snap game in the tutorial where they had you take a picture of a Butterfree (I think is the right Pokemon). Somehow when I took a picture, it flapped its wings and turned enough that it was flat in the picture and couldn’t be selected when you were at the next phase of the tutorial selecting the shot to show the Professor Oak stand in. You couldn’t go back to take another picture, so I was effectively unable to continue the game from there. I was pretty proud of my bad picture taking skills.

kuoushi,

But what about that remaining 0.1%? Aren’t we just creating a pathway for these super microplastics to breed and create even stronger microplastics?

kuoushi,

Second one has to be Zangar Marsh. I shouldn’t still remember that place.

How professional is a @firstname.tld email domain?

I am trying to get my own custom domain. However for my name with all the major tlds such as .com .net .io and such, @firstnamelastname.tld and @lastname.tld are taken. I don’t want to have a less trusted tld such as .xyz and would rather stick with the popular ones. Only my first name without the .com tld is not taken, so...

kuoushi,

I have the same firstname@lastna.me setup as well. It’s honestly pretty nice.

kuoushi,

Not a single comment in here from the poor Canadians depicted in the meme. Sorry about that.

kuoushi,

I’m a(n extremely) small time streamer but with decades of content (plus more as I stream on both PeerTube and Twitch) that I’m slowly moving over to my own self-hosted PeerTube instance. I can’t say I expected any views at all, but what I have gotten so far is just a lot of bot spam comments. I can’t imagine that’s something most creators want to deal with.

Is the problem that I’m self-hosting and having to moderate that on my own? Probably. But it doesn’t paint a great picture of the platform at large so far.

kuoushi,

Huh. I mean, I was already going to watch it, but now I guess I’m going to watch it harder.

They Cloned Tyrone was way better than expected.

The trailer looked fun but I just had a feeling it wasn’t going to be good. Heard some good reactions on a movie podcast I follow so I decided to watch it today. It is really well done. Lots of funny parts, and just weird enough to not be offputting. Felt kind of like a combination of Get Out and Sorry to Bother You, with some...

kuoushi,

Toss in a recommendation from me, too. Just watched it last weekend and it was a lot of fun. I have to wonder how much of Jamie Foxx’s lines were improv or written as is, because he was one of the highlights for me. Just a really solid movie overall.

kuoushi,

My vote is to let users decide whether to block the bot or not.

kuoushi,

And everyone laughed at Kevin Costner in Waterworld.

kuoushi,

Trying it on Android currently, everything is working great. Had to remove the default lemmy.world guest account (after adding my home insurance) and restart before everything started working as expected.
