They stated that PSN was required from the start, and I get that it has shitty privacy and security but if you’re fine with a sketchy Korean company having root level access to your computer then I don’t get how that’s a problem. I dislike sony as much as the next person but this is just a hypocritical argument.

Not sure how no one saw this coming. Every multiplayer game that uses malw- kernel level anti-cheat WILL inevitably be enshittified. This one is a reminder that not even the most beloved of games are safe.
If you don’t care about privacy that much, which I assume you don’t because you use Twitch, Kick is the only alternative I can recommend. Everything else either is dead, is in another language, or has no good content, which sucks because some of them had good privacy policies. Monopolies are dogshit.
