Archive.org has a lot of resources for knitting. You can find patterns for all levels, and also books on all kinds of techniques. As someone who dislikes video tutorials I find the Internet Archive invaluable.
I live alone and I’m just wasting away my time here. It’s actually making me very depressed to be honest. I do live in the city which makes think there ought to be at least something to do out here. Though I can’t really afford to spent money on it every day....
My first thought is going for walks around where you live. If there are green spaces along the way that’s even better. You can turn it into kind of a workout where you do longer and longer walks, or the same length but a little faster each time.
It’s a good way to clear your mind, it also never hurts to be active.
The maps took me so long to make I burned out and never finished the inside. I did have some banners for sale, I thought it would feel like browsing through posters.
Inbox was superior in every way, that’s what did it for me. I also remember the good old days of iGoogle, a page that could be customized with widgets, and Schemer where users could set challenges and goals for other users.

I wouldn’t recommend as a first pet. Rats are super smart and need stimulation. I think young kids would do better with a pet that’s not dependent on them, like something that can roam free.
Source: had a pet rat as a kid and did not give it a great life, which is a shame.
