Nobody is good but God. What is your standard for calling yourself good?

> if my only sin that gets me damned to hell is not believing, then so be it, I'm stubborn.
Dude, you do not understand in any conceivable way of what you are saying. There is no joy in Hell. There is no honor in Hell. There is no pats on the back and ribaldry from others for being "a good 'ole rebel" against the Lord and His Christ. There is no victory of Whites in Hell, for everyone is placed with their enemies. There are no "sexy demon babes" in Hell, in fact there is no marriage, romance, or sex whatsoever. There are no pleasures. There is nothing in hell to satisfy any craving, good or bad. There is not even any self-satisfaction and pleasing pride about your stubbornness and unbelief, and you will fully know it.

There is only darkness, misery, the most extreme depression, fear, despair, disability, the mockery from the saints, and worst of all the active, infinite anger of God upon you and His constant condemnation of you and your wickedness if you die without Christ. And all this will constant, perpetual, never ending, and with full, supernatural awareness without any rest, easing of punishment, parole, or chance for clemency from God, if you do not repent.

I am telling you this as lovingly as possible as your neighbor on the Fediverse and as a fellow White nationalist, for your own sake and others, but please do not joke about Hell, turn from your scoffing and unbelief, turn to Jesus Christ, and live.

It's always hard to articulate reasons to non-believers because the reasons don't exist. Apologetics exist to soothe people who want to keep believing, not to convince those who don't believe. Every apologetic I have ever seen was circular, a crafty way to assume the hypothesis and circle back to it without having added any new information.
The Truth of Islam and of Hinduism are probably self evident to a seasoned Muslim or Hindu, respectively. But no matter how convinced you are, if you cannot show why something is true, it's not something you know, but something you have faith in.

That God created the sin that he supposedly hates is the most obvious argument and makes you hide away into divine mystery, at which point your faith is equally valid to any other of the thousand religions out there, which is the greater argument imo, that there is no difference between your faith and another.
Some others that don't involve your specific god are the fact that what religion you follow is mostly determined by that of your parents so damnation for unbelievers would be partial in nature, that you don't have the free will to believe in things you don't think are true (if you think you can, then I'm going to inflict some punishment on you if you haven't started believing in Santa by next week), and that the Bible is obviously human in origin and riddled with errors.

The best way to argue against it is to assume that you are right and that everyone else secretly believes in your god but is lying, and point them to Romans 1 and Psalm 53 for evidence.

@udongle @SuperSnekFriend
No, I've been there and done that, I'd never have been a Christian if I didn't have a born again experience, and every religion other than yours also claims to have religious experiences. And if one were true it would not be something you could convey with reason, which is what apologetics pretend to be.

However I can now say that reasoning with a Christian is like explaining sight to a blind man. You tell them even a little bit about seeing and they insist they live in a world of darkness where nothing is knowable. Which is why studying mathematics made me an apostate, because I could tell all the apologetics were bunk and there was nothing setting my religion apart from another.

C.S. Lewis wrote this about deconstruction:

"The whole point of seeing through something is to see something through it. It is good that the window should be transparent, because the street or garden beyond it is opaque. How if you saw through the garden too? It is no use trying to โ€œsee throughโ€ first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To โ€œsee throughโ€ all things is the same as not to see."

I feel I'm there. I've seen through everything and I found nothing.

Deconstruction only leads to cynicism and despair. You need to have something to believe in.

@latein@cawfee.club avatar

@thor I don't see that at all. That doesn't explain why belief in God is something more fundamental than the ability to understand that God.
Despair or not, I changed my belief in regard to what is true, not what is convenient. But I now find it a lot more liberating being able to think freely rather than often realising that I found something contrary to my belief and having to reject it on "principle".
For example I found many months ago that the Book of Enoch is attested to in the dead sea scrolls, including the section Jude quoted from. But now I don't need to twist myself into a knot to explain why Enoch isn't in my canon since I've changed my mind entirely on the nature of the canon.

Bird flu virus found in pasteurized milk, though officials maintain supply is safe (www.nbcnews.com)

The Food and Drug Administration said Tuesday that fragments of the bird flu virus had been detected in some samples of pasteurized milk in the U.S. While the agency maintains that the milk is safe to drink, it notes that it is still waiting on the results of studies to confirm this....

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Colossians 3:1-7
It's childish, earthly and vain. A covetous man is an idolator, and it's most obviously a waste of time even by the world's standards. That's even before considering that they get psychologists to design their games to suck people in, and that every game is full of fantasy, devils, fornication, sorcery and the like.

Why wait for Microsoft to catch up with what we've been doing for decades?

Get Plasma, a modern, fully functional, clean, privacy-respecting, non-intrusive operating system now, regardless from where you live and ditch Windows for good.
